This is our seventh visit to Sunriver Resorts and this the first time we have had poor accomodations. We stayed three nights at #28 Tennis Village. The first thing one notices upon entering is the pungent Oder of Cigarettes. It is in the drapes, furniture and bedding. I immediately checked the air filters to see if this might not be doing its job. You would not believe how filthy the filters are, both filters are solid black with an estimated 1/8" of filth on top of the filter fabric. Things get nothing but worse as we started to take a good look. Towel brackets are not secured to the wall, walls and base boards are visibly dirty, bed coverings are dirty, mattresses are lumpy, pillows are hard as a rock, decorating is nonexistent floors are very squeaky, views are nonexistent, the hot water is set to lethal levels and so on. This owner just does not care. The only thing they did not neglect was to remind you to wash all dishes, strip all beds, pile up all towels, set all thermostats and be out by 10AM. Please do not book this unit until they come up to Sunriver standards. Greed should not be rewarded…
These condo/townhomes are our family's fav each time we come to enjoy Sunriver - Here's why #42 is our first choice (61 and 63 2nd and 3rd) 1. Pet Friendly -we bring our Aussie Shepherd. 2. is on the back of the quad so quieter 3. nicer furnishings - each home is individually furnished 4. Has a/c in summer - not all do - check! 5. Little things like has spices here already, large mugs for coffee, free wifi 6. Blu-ray players, large flat screens 7. 1 king, 2 queens and a pull out sofa in the loft make it easy for my family to spread out all Tennis Village condos are within walking distance to the village shops, nice grocery store, bike rentals, and the Lodge - very convenient location - this is our 12th year coming here and we visit - 1-3 times per year. Overall - Sunriver is an excellent family vacation Winter - skiing, tubing on Mt Hood, snow shoeing, horse drawn carriages, the planetarium and high desert museum - Bend is about 20 minutes away Summer - special bike trails that go for 40 miles or more! playgrounds, lava tube caves, golf, nature trails, white water rafting, kayaking - gentle enough for kids, etc…
60 Tennis Village Sunriver We stayed in this 2-story condo behind the Sage Spa and tennis center for 4 nights over Thanksgiving for Traditions weekend. This is a pet-friendly condo, but leashes are required outside with limited areas to run and play in the condo area. The location is perfect for easy access, within walking distance, even in the rain, to the Lodge, Great Hall and The Village. However, this location is in the middle of the two parking lots, and a longer walk from either parking area. Only an issue when loading and unloading. This rental includes four passes to the Sage Spa fitness area. The bottom floor has a kitchen, open to the living area, dining area and then a master bedroom with a bathroom, accessible from the dining area and the master. The master has 2 sinks, one accessible only through the master, and it the other associated with the shower / tub and toilet, accessible from the dining area. The toilet made noises constantly and the bathroom fan was loud. The hot and cold on the showers was reversed but the water pressure was great and water was hot. The head was about 5' so we had to bend a bit in the shower, but it was good for our daughter. The blackout blinds worked very well. The hair dryer is medium sized. The TV in the master is about 32 inches. It has a king bed with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The living area has high ceilings looking up to the loft and second bedroom. It has a nice couch and fireplace, good for lounging. The TV here is also a bit on the small side for the size of the room. All rooms with TVs also have DVD players and there are plenty of cable channels. There is a fireplace, and plenty of wood, but it was hard to start due to lack of kindling and keep going because the wood was wet. It would help to bring a hatchet. The place had a few puzzles and an UNO game and plastic chess/checkers, but no movies or other games. We had plenty of movies from home. The ceilings in the small kitchen area are low. There are plenty of nice white, square dishes, cups, mugs and stemware. We found everything we needed to make chocolate mousse. The fridge is nice and large, with ice trays (no ice maker). Remember to bring Saran Wrap, plastic Tupperware and aluminum foil for leftovers. The upstairs bedroom is large, with two queen beds and a vanity with sink, similar to downstairs, with shower/tub and toilet access from the loft. The loft overlooks the living area and has a couch and fan other TV with DVD. The closets are small, and have the hangers that are permanently attached. If you have a dog, remember to bring dog food and water bowls. We used some human bowls and because we weren't cooking a lot, it was ok. Overall, everything was clean and roomy. The decor is fine. It is more upgraded than some units we have been in, and less than others that have gone to granite. I would stay here again during Traditions, but would probably move back to Wildflower for the same price and dog friendly place during the summer, closer to SHARC and backing up to the golf course.…
