Please be aware of booking with this apartment! Having let Azeed know months in advance of our flight arrival and time we land - there was meant to be someone from the apartments to greet us at the airport and take us to the transit hotel in Male. We had to stay at a transit hotel for the night because no speed boats were available when we arrived at night time and we were going to get the morning boat. Azeed also stated he was going to be paying for the transit hotel in Male which I have proof of. A month before arriving Azeed contacted me via what’s app asking me to modify or cancel my booking with booking.com and book directly through himself for discounted rates and inclusions - which we did so because it seemed very legit after receiving an invoice etc. We were very excited about arriving. A day before I contacted Azeed and confirmed about the pick up from the airport and asked the name of the transit hotel in Male. He replied saying there has been a mis understanding and the speed boat was not going to be leaving until now 15:00 due to Ramadan. There was not much we could do about that and said ok we will wait until 3pm which meant we wouldn’t be arriving until 16:00 so basically missing a whole day. Once arriving into Male airport, there was no sight of anyone from Rasdhoo apartments and no one knew anything about our arrival. We had no wifi and had to ask the information desk to call our transit hotel to come and get us - they arrived and were very confused. We were basically stuck at the airport! We arrived at the hotel and the staff had no idea of our arrival and no one from the apartments had informed them we were coming so it was lucky they had rooms! Azeed messaged me saying there has been a mis understanding and the staff were not informed. After about an hour communicating back and forth with Azeed and the hotel, Azeed then asked myself to pay for the transit hotel and he will discount one of our nights with him. Also the transit hotel is in the middle of Haullmale with nothing around and seems like a building site. I am very unhappy and disgusted by the way things were handled and it ruined our first night in the Maldives. We then went to cancel our booking with Rasdhoo and book with another hotel on another island. I explained to Azeed the next morning how unhappy we are and I still have no reply. I expect he will not be refunding me for the transit hotel. No effort was put into sorting out our situation and I have not had one apology from the staff at the apartments. Please be aware when booking with this company - I know the resorts are more expensive but probably worth it!!…

Rasdhoo is a more relaxed island as tourism has been there for about 10 years with diving but you still need to respect their culture and cover up when not on the bikini beach. The room was exceptionally well appointed, more than I had anticipated. Shavin was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat, where to go for the local food if thats what you are after. He also helped me source a local artist who did a custom painting for me. They also have plenty of tours/excursions you can do and I recommend going to the sandbank with fish feeding as a minimum one you have to do. Any breakfast package you organise should always include the local Maldivian one of Mas Huni and Roshi. You wont want anything else!

I stayed here with my family (total 5 of us) in Dec 2018. The property was probably the nicest on the island and was clean and well maintained. We even had a private dining area where we had our breakfast and dinner daily. The staff were also excellent and extremely attentive to our needs. Prior to the trip, Azeed the host was extremely responsive and helped us plan our activities from sand-bank visits, to snorkelling and night fishing. We also did a half-board package with them and the food they served was really good. It was all in all fantastic place and would definitely go back again.

I stayed at the Rasdhoo Apartment Lodge while getting my scuba certification at Rasdhoo Scuba. The facilities are new, clean, and quiet. The staff is very attentive and kind- Shavin showed me where the restaurant was and was available on WhatsApp for anything I needed. He also arranged an evening fishing trip and cooked the fish I caught! The facilities are no frills - there's no TV in the room - but I didn't come to the Maldives to watch TV! It's close to the "bikini beach" where foreign visitors go to swim and sunbathe. Overall I highly recommend staying at Rasdhoo Apartment Lodge.
