"Luxury without much charm"

Semi-professional / personal experience. We had the opportunity to stay in exceptional conditions, since we were in a suite with a sea view. The resort is huge, fairly new, with everything you need and even what you do not have. do not need. Concept quite similar to the hotels of Las Vegas type Caesars Palace, so the comfort is there but it is inevitably impersonal. Our suite was very spacious, tastefully decorated and had a breathtaking sea view. We had our personal concierge who looked after us very attentively, which was nice. The restaurants are numerous and for the most part of a good quality, but hyper expensive; count $ 40 for 1 sandwich and 1 drink per person for lunch! Several swimming pools available, all very beautiful, with hot water, and especially very clean. Downside: far too many chairs, little shade, everyone is packed, it reminds more the Dominican Republic unfortunately than the Seychelles or Mauritius much more intimate. Another regret: no indoor pool, especially when outside it's raining ... But excellent gym! The hotel has a beautiful beach with a beautiful pontoon for walks. The hotel is located not far from the city and finally from its main competitor Atlantis (which seems to be a monster in terms of infrastructure and services offered!). We did the tour of the city, frankly no interest, but to go out a bit of the complex and the routine during the stay. In short, great experience, but which is closer to mass tourism than more intimate tourism and charm of Seychelles, Mauritius or even the Maldives. Not necessarily to our taste, but again and objectively, the resort is beautiful and to do if you like this kind of experience.
