It's an ideal retreat or lovenest - a wonderful space for getting away from it all and right into the countryside; to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature; to heal, create or to study. It's very much a cosy country property rather than a stylish hotel setting but it's nicely and very comfortably furnished in rustic style. Horses clop along the lane outside and birdsong fills the air. There is a farmer along the lane who has equipment in use and large vehicles during the week sometimes so it's more reliably peaceful at weekends. The owner is a music teacher who lives in the main house with one child. Should you require a bottle of chilled champagne on arrival this can be arranged with the owner.
Treetops has undergone major renovations recently, including a new private balcony made of local Sussex oak by local craftsmen in the traditional Sussex style. A massive beech tree grows up through the balcony which can be lit up at night and during the day you can see between the branches for miles. The bathroom now has a much bigger shower, a new suite and a heated towel rail. Upstairs it has new carpet, curtains, rug, cushions, TV, mattress, pillows, linen, blinds, a power socket with USB points, a little dressing table with a mirror and hairdryer and a more romantic light above the bed. In the kitchen it has new quarry tiles on the floor, and new pictures, coat hooks, curtains, microwave, full sized cooker and there's a washing machine and a dishwasher, which will hopefully make guests feel properly off-duty and relaxed!
Treetops is a fully self-contained apartment and it's treehouse balcony offers stunning views and absolute privacy. It's equipped with two zero gravity recliners and a bistro set. Guests also have shared access to large areas of the owner's garden, built in BBQ and patio area and the new hot tub spa,on a deck in the middle of the garden overlooking the fields and hills beyond for miles. It really is blissful. (NB. only available if it's safe - please don't book because if this facility. If it is allowed you will be able to book a 30 min private slot every day with cleaning in between- please be aware it's very public and just for therapeutic use - family appropriate behavior only please). Each accommodation now has it's own, labelled garden furniture, which you are free to move around the garden, keeping socially distanced, of course.
There are two recently built luxury Shepherd Huts for couples in the far end of the garden who also share the garden. We encourage guest to feel welcome in the shared spaces and avoid going very near each others' front doors, none of which overlook each other. I
Various treatments can sometimes be arranged during your visit, subject to availability on your dates. Aromatherapy massage (full body 1 hour £45 - neck, back and shoulders half hour - £30), Reflexology (45 mins, £35) and Reiki (1 hr head and torso £37, 1.5 hr full body £49). If you're interested please give plenty of notice to have the best chance of fitting you around existing work commitments (NB. due to Covid19 we can't offer treatments at the moment but we are taking bookings on the basis that if the treatment can't be offered, a full refund will be given).
The minimum stay is now 3 days to allow for quarantining of spare equipment - you can still come for shorter stays but you have to book 3 nights. Guests need to be happy to stick to 2m social distancing and have travel insurance in place in case they need to cancel. I'm putting lots of extra cleaning and sanitization measures in place, some of which guests will need to participate in, eg. stripping beds and putting laundry in a clean single duvet cover for me to wash in the bag and putting your soft furnishings in another bag to be quarantined before you leave. Guests will have a temperature check on arrival - if you are feeling unwell, please don't come - contact me.
We have a dog and a cat who are very friendly but not allowed in Treetops because of people with allergies. Because we have our own pets we can't have anyone else's here and it wouldn't be fair to people with allergies so please don't book and then ask if you can bring your pet, no matter how well-behaved. Also if one of your party is afraid of animals please don't book as it's not practical to keep the dog in all day.
Although smoking is not allowed inside, it is permitted on the balcony.Plus

À propos du quartier
Tucked away in historically rich 1066 country it is ideally located for walking, horse riding, cycling and painting. There is a strong arts and crafts movement locally and there are plenty of good pubs that serve excellent food within easy reach. For nature lovers there is an abundance of local bird life and the nearby marshes and levels on the way to the beach at Pevensey (15 minutes by car). 5 mins from the South Downs National Park it is within easy reach of Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Brighton, Ashdown (Pooh Bear) Forest and Forest Row Country Park. There is fishing at the local trout farm, golf, tennis, a windmill, Herstmonceux Castle and a Science Centre. Other nearby attractions include the Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park, Michelham Priory, the White Horse at Alfriston and Long Man at Wilmington. <BR>
Google me dit environ une demi-heure. Il est environ 15 minutes à pied du village à ici.
