Loved Casa Legado, nicely furnished with rustic antique furniture. The view from the deck & your bed as you wake up is beautiful. Listen to the sound of birds, monkeys...swim in the warm clear Laguna. There is a hostel 1 mile away with great restaurant & massages, manicures. You can also get on the shuttle here if you would like to go to Granada. The local bus stops a few times in front of the school & if you are looking for fresh fruit, veggies, eggs & basic groceries there is a bodega just past the hostel Paradiso. The maid Carol does a really great job of cleaning the house & the gardener works tirelessly to keep the grounds beautiful. There are also tours available from the Paradiso hostel & this is the perfect location if you enjoy doing a lot of walking.

We had a great visit to Laguna de Apoyo. The view was great and we thoroughly enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboard; we basically had the laguna to ourselves on early morning paddles. The location allowed easy sightseeing trips from Granada on days we didn't just chill at the house. Also, the periodic cleaning by the on-site staff was outstanding! It was quite warm when we were there so it would have been helpful to have a couple more portable fans to increase airflow through the house. We enjoyed our stay and would like to return to catch a few of the attractions we didn't get to explore this time. Thanks so much for letting us visit.

I am from Nicaragua. My husband and I went to Nicaragua for a wedding. I have never seen the lagoon before. It is a wonderful place. Joyce and Richard were very accommodating with a couple of requests. Their home is larger than the pictures suggest. It is tastefully decorated. The garden, the sound of the birds and view of the lagoon are very relaxing. I liked having the kayaks available for our use, which we did use!!! The water access are is very private and the water temperature is perfect. The only suggestion if no transportation is available is to bring all your groceries with you. A couple of restaurants are close by but it is a hike (literally) to get to them but not impossible. One of them easier reached by walking along the shore (walking a few steps about 6 inches in the water). The overall experience was indescribable. Definitely would go there again.
