It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Castlelough Holiday Cottages, near Garrykennedy, Co. Tipperary. Nestled along the “Lough Derg Way” on the eastern shores of Lough Derg, we offer you a choice of three 4* Failte Ireland approved self catering cottages Cornode, Fraoch and Lackaroe. Our cottages are centrally located, 1.5 miles from Garrykennedy and ideal for a short break or extended holiday in Ireland.
Perfect for holidays at any time of year. Ideal for couples and families. A haven for fishermen and nature lovers.
Lough Derg is the largest and most beautiful of the Shannon lakes. It is renowned for its coarse fishing. In this tranquil location you can experience the peace and quiet of the real Ireland.
Co. Tipperary is a tourists’ paradise, an area of great charm and natural beaut...

Cottage must be vacated in a completely clean and tidy condition otherwise a cleaning charge will be levied.
Cornode sleeps 6 people. This number cannot be exceeded. Changeover and additional guests are not permitted during your stay.
Heating and electricity by meter reading payable on departure.
Charging of electric vehicles using a plug socket at the property is not permitted. Nearest charge point is in Nenagh.

Idyllic spot, great location from which to explore Lakelands, Tipperary
Cornode cottage is a delight. It is characterful but has modern conveniences as well. A new upstairs bathroom is well designed. We instantly relaxed here. There is NO noise in the isolated surrounds. Just the birds. A short walk leads to the lake in a private spot. Our hosts, Gerardine & Willie were extremely welcoming. They took great care to make sure we were comfortable. A short drive down a country land takes you to the little village of Garrkennedy. Larkins Pub serves excellent food. The marina in the village is picturesque.
We had a wonderful time in this part of Tipperary - and we looked forward to returning to the cottage each afternoon.

Bel Environnement , au cottage avec tout ce qu'il faut (drap serviette plus qu'il en faut)

Idyllic cottage in beautiful, tranquil location
Although the cottage is fairly isolated it was a 4 minute drive to Garrykennedy, Lough Derg, a beautiful part of Co. Tipperary. There was a lovely pub/restaurant, Larkins where we enjoyed excellent food and traditional Irish music. It was an ideal base to visit Neenagh, Limerick, Roscrea and Rock of Cashel. The cottage is situated in a very beautiful, tranquil location with immaculate huge gardens surrounded by trees. It was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with everything required, a true home from home. Our host Geraldine (the owner) was most welcoming and displayed genuine warmth, kindness and helpfulness to ensure we had a wonderful holiday. A true gentle woman with a kind heart which we really appreciated. The friendliness of all of the locals was also endearing including a beautiful golden retriever named Marley who captured our hearts! They have all given us wonderful memories of this beautiful part of Ireland. Would highly recommend a visit.

Heaven!
A wonderful peaceful spot with private harbour making it unique. Loch Derg offers good sailing in beautiful surroundings. The cottage is comfortable & relaxing and Willie & Gerardine attentive & welcoming hosts. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Tolles Haus direkt am Lough Derg
Das Cottage liegt direkt am Lough Derg und hat einen direkten Zugang zum See.
Wer Wassersport liebt oder angeln, kann dort seinem Hobby frönen, wenn er das Equipment (Surfbrett oder Boot) mitbringt.
Aber auch für alle an Kultur interessierten ist es guter Standort, um die Geschichte Irlands zu erforschen.
Unzählige Klöster, Burgen und sonstge Highllghts lassen sich innerhalb von akzeptabler Zeit erreichen. Der gesamte Westen und Süden Irlands läßt sich abdecken. Auch Dublin ist noch in akzeptabler Reichweite.
Das Cottage sebst läßt keine Wünsche offen und ist mit allen Dingen ausgestattet, die man auch zu Hause hat.
Aber wie immer, gibt es einen kleine Wermutstropfen.
Die Matrazen sind sehr hart und deshalb sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Maravilloso perfecto
Estuvimos de vacaciones una semana en el mes de julio el tiempo nos acompañó fue bueno el trato recibido por los dueños de la casa fue maravilloso excepcional con todo tipo de ayuda para poder movernos por allí la casa es perfecta el lugar es perfecto el trato recibido fue perfecto lo recomiendo a todo el mundo la casa es muy grande y espacioso con todo tipo de detalles no la falta nada lo recomiendo a todo el mundo desde aquí quiero dar las gracias a los dueños que nos trataron muy bien

Wonderful Peaceful Location
What a wonderful place to stay and what a wonderful couple to let this cottage out! The location is stunning and a great place to tour from as you can easily reach Galway / Limerick etc for day trips! Thank you for a truly amazing visit.

Best place to escape from it all!
Just home from spending a wonderful week at Cornode with my husband and our 6year old son (this being our second visit). The cottage is by far the cleanest and best equipped rental accommodation we have ever stayed in and as for the location - we simply couldn't ask for more. Geraldine and Willie are so helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. We just love this place so much and can't wait to get back. What a hidden gem!
