Brenda and Rick were great hosts and the property has a tonne of character and privacy. It's up in the hills away from the highway and absolutely quiet and peaceful. While we had a lot of activity planned away from the property, the only thing I might wish for if I wanted to spend a complete day at the property winding down or going out only by bike or in foot to travel would be a couple of restaurants a little closer to the property than we found. If you wanted to stick close to the property a lack of nearby food options might be a challenge (although after one of Brenda's breakfast ls you may not need to eat for the rest of the day anyway!) Admittedly, there is a golf course (Saint Andrew-on-the-lake) a couple of km away that indicates that it has a restaurant, but we didn't stop in to see if non-members could eat there. If you can eat there, then really, this point is pretty much irrelevant and there is nothing that I would take away as a negative from this experience at all even if you wanted to stay close to the property the whole time you were there for some privacy and seclusion.
Brenda created a wonderful experience for each breakfast during our stay, but you may want to get out and go for a bike ride before breakfast, because you might be too full after breakfast to do it, but there's no way you'd want to skip that breakfast!
We will definitely refer friends to this property and plan on visiting again in the future!
