Hook Norton has a brewery which has a visitors centre and tours. The Village shop sells everything you could need while staying in the cottage! There are two pubs in the village. The Gate Hangs High is the nearest pub to Turpins Lodge Cottage, 1 1/4 miles, and serves good food and bar meals 7 days a week. The Horse and Groom in Milcombe about 2miles, has a nice restaurant and bar, good food, good service and a friendly welcome. Dogs welcome.<BR><BR>Chipping Norton (about 5 miles) has a small theatre, restaurants including Thai, Indian and Chinese, banks, shops etc as well as indoor and outdoor (in the Summer) swimming pools. <BR><BR>Banbury 5 miles away is a large market town with cinema, sports centre, shopping centre, and several big supermarkets at least one is open 24 hours a day. There is a bus and train station in Banbury.
