Le Pigeonnier is one in a complex of 6 rural French gites which are purpose-built and restored using traditional materials. The accommodation is situated within a private courtyard, with a separate parking area. Each Gite has its own garden, with a BBQ, dining area and garden furniture. The large private swimming pool comprises a paddling pool (25msq) with a depth of 40cm waterfalling into a large pool (75msq) with a shallow end of 1m and a deep end of 2m, and is shared by the holiday properties. The pool is situated on the edge of the Adour valley with spectacular views of the mountains. The grounds include an ancient chapel, moat & woodlands to explore. There is also a large communal pool in the village of Madiran.

Great place to stay!
Le Prielle is one of those places where your shoulders relax as you walk in. It’s just a great place to be at any time if the year. The gites are comfortable and homely and the vineyard backdrop is idyllic. We have stayed many times and always look forward to going back. Simon and Paulette are not only great hosts but the best of friends. You will not regret staying here and soaking up the restful atmosphere and enjoying some great local Madiran wine (that might even be from the vines at the back door)!

Home from home but with amazing hosts
We have stayed with the Appleby’s a number of times. We love it there. They are warm and welcoming and really go the extra mile to make your stay wonderful and relaxing. They work-so hard to make it all happen and there are lots of thoughtful touches. Gites are spacious and welcoming. Pool is fabulous. We have stayed in the colder months too and the wood burner is very effective. Very cosy. We will return of course. This is a great area for a family holiday and for anyone who loves wine especially. I could not recommend it highly enough.

Amazing break away. Feel very rested. Paulette and Simon incredible hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Roaring log-burner fires. Loads of hot water. Everything you need and masses of space. Great bed. Very relaxing break. Could not recommend highly enough.

Great place for peaceful holidays with the family
Our experience at Le Prielle was perfect. Paulette and her family kindly help us with care at everithing we needed. We will for sure repeat the expierence
We highly recomend the place and surronding little towns, for summer or winter.

Wonderful place to relax and unwind
Excellent situation Paulette and Simon made us very welcome and they had prepared a box of groceries for us. There is plenty of space and warm and comfortable especially with the wood burning stove and underfloor heating.
The situation is quiet and near enough to Madiran for the excellent French bread and croissants.
Would return at any time,
