Great location
Countryside walks one way, beautiful coastline the other. The cottage was nicely furnished, clean and spacious. Would stay there again.

A hidden gem!
Fantastic communication from the start. Nothing was too much trouble for my wife and I, making our stay with Adelaide (8 weeks) and Monty (greyhound) an absolute delight.
Highly recommended accommodation, only a few minutes drive to the coast and a stroll to sainsburys for all of the things we forgot!
We are already looking to see when we can come again!

A welcome break
Really good three day break, close to all amenities. Cottage good location being off the main road making it a safe place for children. Granduaghter loved the farm hens, ducks and young seagulls. Also made good use of the childrens playground.

very well equipped cottage very suitable for families with play area outside.
I stayed here with my daughter and 3 grandchildren aged 4,8 and 13. We found the cottage perfect for foamy groups, although the bunk beds could do with new mattresses. The children really enjoyed the outside play area and would have used indoor area if weather poor, which it wasnt. Will definitely use again .

Great Property, Great Location.......
The cottage is very well equipped, clean and tidy, and had plenty of space for our family of 4 Adults and 2 Children. The location is ideal, a 2 minute drive or a 25 minute walk to Whitby centre. The owners' instructions and information prior to arrival was great. The Xmas trimmings were a great touch to the cottage, just making it like home from home for the little children and also the bigger children. It was a shame the weather was a little poor but I can imagine in the hot summer this place would be a little gem!! Would recommend staying here any time! We all had a lovely time, thank you for our lovely stay and hope to see this lovely place sometime in the future.

Great last minute choice
What a great weekend we had in the cottage. Fab location and lovely cottage. We will definitely book again, in the summer next time so we can have a nice walk to Whitby.

Superb accommodation!
Fantastic one night stay, easy booking, great communications. The cottage was in great condition, very clean with more than enough space for the 4 of us and Gary the Dog! Lovely surroundings and the kids loved the play area and safe open aspect of the outdoor area.
Superb location, very peaceful yet a 2 minute drive into Whitby. I would highly recommend this accommodation and we will definitely return.

Excellent value for money
Stayed for 3 nights, lovely place and friendly owners. Everything we needed was there and close to Sainsburys for extra things. The hot water stopped working and was fixed immediately. Very comfortable stay. The WiFi wasn't very good but didn't ruin our stay. Will definitely return and recommend.

Fantastic time had by all
Lovely surroundings very quiet. Spacious all bar the bathroom. Far to small esp when you have 4 small children with you.

Brilliant location but came away a bit disappointed
Stayed for 4 nights (Monday to Friday) with my wife and our 2 year old daughter.
Pro's:
Location wise you can't go wrong. Supermarket less than a minute car drive away. Whitby less than 4 minutes.
Outside the cottage is excellent for young kids, as you can let them roam free without having to worry about speeding traffic etc. Daughter loved the rabbits, ducks and hens. She was a bit young for the climbing frame but still enjoyed the see saw and slide.
The cottage itself had all the amenities you would need.
Con's:
On arrival the cottage did seem clean enough as the floor and main surfaces were clean. However, I'm allergic to dust as it makes my nose stream, and after a closer inspection (please don't vision my wife and I going round the cottage like they do from the TV program "four in a bed") there was a lot of dust. I complained on Tuesday morning to a very pleasant young lady who I assumed was Jackie (apologies if it wasn't). I explained there was dust on the walls, lamp shades, bedroom side lamps and on the lower frame of the circular table in the living room as my daughter wanted to keep putting her fingers in it. Jackie organised somebody to sort this out whilst we were out for the day. When we returned, the table in the living room had been replaced which was appreciated but little else seemed to have been done. The pictures added were taken after somebody had been in to clean. The picture where I'm holding a long stem of dust, came attached to my head whilst I was cooking in the kitchen.
The next issue is the stairs and 1st floor floor boards. They are extremely noisy where ever you move and stand, which woke our daughter up a few times. Got to a point that we didn't dare to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. However I don't believe this is a fault of the owners, but to do with the age of the building. If it is just adults or kids are past toddler age staying then this might not be so much of an issue.
Would we stay again.... Probably not unfortunately.
