Rustic & Quirky peaceful cottage
Wonderful charming cottage abounding in wood and leather. Very rustic, comfortable in lovely grounds surrounded by nature. Lovely large bathroom with wet room style shower and sunken bath. Mirrors in abundance and individual wooden furniture. Large wood burner though we didn't need to use it. Interesting sleeping area up wooden stairs to a gallery. Open plan kitchen had just about everything you would need for cooking meals apart from a baking tray or 2 and washing machine advertised has been replaced with a dishwasher. Very large TV set with DVD player and selection of DVDs to watch and games to play should you need them. David & Rachel who own the farmhouse were very friendly and helpful. Tesco superstore quite close for stocking up on food which David gave directions to. We will certainly stay here again if we are in the area for work or leisure. Highly recommended!

Restful retreat
We had a wonderful time , very peaceful location , the cottage and grounds were perfect and so pretty in spring.

Relaxing, peaceful and comfortable
we loved every second of our stay at the Saddlery so much that we didn't get out to explore much before midday every day!
The bed is so comfy and the lounge is perfect, and the shower is perfection.....and the garden and the birds and the squirrels......and Dilys and Daphne the resident dogs are glorious....and we miss it all so much. David and Rachel the owners are such nice folk and so easy to chat to, they made us feel so very welcome.....we will be back...thankyou

Cosy comfortable delightful
Had a wonderful stay here last month, well situated for visiting North Wales, some delightful places on the doorstep too. Chirk castle and Canal viaduct close by. The Corn Mill, Llangollen did lovely food. Chester well worth a visit too. Lots to do and see.

Excellent spot for a quiet break
The Saddlery was a great place for my wife and I to enjoy a week away. It is well-equipped, comfortable, interestingly designed, clean and well-maintained, but without giving you the feeling that you are living in a show-home. The accommodation is on the same site as the owners home, but it is tucked away and private - and we appreciated the quietness of the garden and the shade from the Locust Tree overhanging the garden. It was a scorchingly hot week, and we enjoyed walking in the shade along stretches of the Llangollen Canal, as well as one day on the Offa's Dyke walk around the mountain close to the property. We didn't realise it when we booked but we happened to be in Llangollen on the week of the International Eisteddfod, and we enjoyed a visit there (Llangollen is about 4 miles away). Loads more to see and we hope to return next year. Any way to improve The Saddlery? Just one suggestion - a patio table and chairs to allow you to eat outside would be great.

Interesting
This is a lovely old cottage in a charming place if you're prepared to drive and walk. The bed was a bit too small for us but very comfy. I didn't like the stairs coming down in the middle of the night and the bottom step is rounded and my slipper just went off. The kitchen has all you need and the sunken bath is wonderful and I love the old toilet. The gardens are huge and it's so peaceful. Rachel and David are friendly and let us walk through their garden to go into the village. We enjoyed our week there.
