Milkwood House is a luxurious and stylish new two bedroom apartment in the heart of the fashionable Meridian Quay quarter of Swansea Marina in Wales. We also have a very nice, large and very flat HD TV, PlayStation3, Sky HDTV, a Blue Ray Disc player and will even hire-in discs of your choice too if you want. We have an iPod docking speaker but your iPod is not included though. Fluffy towels, shiny sheets and duvets, cracking crockery (that doesn't crack), lovely leather beds, chairs, and an unusual corner sofa unit which is the fastest sofa in the world to change into a bed (seconds is the current record). So why stay here? Stunning views of the sea on on side, and the Marina on the other; seconds from the beach, minutes from city centre, close to Mumbles and Gower, walking distance to 2 of the most popular visitor attractions in Wales and touching distance to one of the most scenic walking and cycling paths in Wales - 'The Celtic Trail' along Swansea Bay to Mumbles. Oh yes, and you can borrow our bikes too - they're in the private underground car park underneath Milkwood House!Plus

We stayed at the apartment from weds to Saturday for a short break. Andrew the owner had great communication with us beforehand and met us on arrival. The apartment is situated right in the beach front and to the back of the marina. It is perfect. Really clean and tidy and has everything we needed Easy access to mumbles beach and other attractions as well as Swansea shops, bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and very much looking forward to going there again.

The apartment is in a perfect place situated yards from the beautiful Swansea beach, it has all that you need for a perfect break. There are lots of bars, shops and lovely restaurants all within walking distance. There's lots to see and do whatever the weather from the cinema to museums and shopping. Highly recommend three cliffs bay, caswell bay and Langland bay beaches all beautiful and clean. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a luxurious break, the washer/dryer was a godsend and there was plenty of cooking utensils and crockery if you're cooking at home. The welcome gift of wine and chocolates were a lovely touch as were the tea , coffee and milk Andrew had left for us, so overall I would rate our stay 10/10. Thank you Andrew for a perfect stay x

This apartment is 30 yards from the beach with access to the promenade / coast path. It is also on the marina. It is in easy walking distance from loads of very nice restaurants and the access to the seafront is ideal if you want to walk or run along the coast - it stretches for 6 miles to Mumbles. The apartment is new, has everything you could want for a short break and Andrew (the owner) is very helpful. I will definitely come here again if I come to Swansea again.

It was a nice flat but the hot water didn't work properly all week and this meant that there was a constant back and fourth with the landlord (who was nice and quick to respond) I was there for work so it was supposed to be a treat (as it actually went over budget by £200) but having to doctor the water and let people in to fix it in my spare time just became a hassle. I think we should have been offered some compensation for the inconvenience.

Hi Katherine, glad you thought the flat was nice and in a great location, and it's a real shame that there was a problem with the hot water for your clients. The electrician did have to visit the property for 90 minutes followed briefly by a plumber, both of whom thoroughly tested and reported that they couldn't find any problem and that the hot water system was working efficiently. Clearly from your comments, this wasn't the case so we will of course check it out once again, just to be 100% sure. "Milkwood House" is a secure two bedroom/one bathroom apartment on the 2nd floor of a multi storey apartment block with secure parking in the basement - it is not a house. It has a small balcony (for two) facing the beach. The location is fantastic being almost on the beach in the marina area and easy walking to Swansea shops, museums and restaurants. You will need to contact Andrew before arriving as the "97" in the address is the apartment number, not a street number. Andrew arranged for someone to meet us out the front in Trawler Road and assist us to the carpark and apartment. Excellent service and assistance and Andrew is a committed host. The ramps in the carpark are narrow, so have someone observe as you head to the allocated carpark, particularly if your vehicle is medium size or above. We thoroughly enjoyed our six nights.

Milkwood House is a gorgeous apartment and I spent a lovely week there. That apartment has everything you could wish for and I felt very much at home there. I've already booked another stay there!

The pick up of the key and location of the apartment were a little confusing but that was probably my fault. Just know that address is not in the tower. It is across the street. Any issues in the apartment (very minor) were dealt with immediately by the owner. He was also helpful in arranging transportation to the Cardiff airport for an early morning flight. Thanks so much! Swansea is a beautiful city and much is accessible on foot from this rental. The major bus hub is also very close.

In five weeks predominantly in Wales, this accommodation was our only major disappointment. We thought we had arranged to meet Andrew at the accommodation. (Certainly, he left us with that impression.) He did not show up and we had a great deal of trouble finding the building - the only identifying feature we could find was a small plaque on the building near the garage. In retrospect, the instructions for getting to the apartment block and getting to the apartment from the carpark were grossly inadequate. (Fortunately, we were assisted by other tenants to get out of the carpark!) The apartment block was directly opposite a large tower - Andrew did not think to make this clear (especially if he was not going to be there), although, to be fair, we could have deduced this from earlier correspondence. Nor did Andrew answer his phone. It turned out he was at a seminar, so perhaps he had no intention of meeting us in the first place. When he did return our call, we asked for advice on restaurants. We did not find the advice he provided useful. Andrew promised he would come and meet us, but again failed to do so. In short, he was big on promises, short on delivery. The apartment had some deficiencies, which were quite inconsistent with its description and its price. The television was disconnected and it took some effort to fix it up so we could watch the cricket 50 over world cup semi-final (involving Australia). The glassware and cutlery were not up to scratch. The couch was uncomfortable. On the positive, the apartment was large and well located, the bed was comfortable and we did enjoy walking into Swansea and the market we found there. We did ultimately find a good cafe just down the end of the road, although Andrew had not mentioned this to us.

We had such an enjoyable stay in milkwood house, we were greeted every morning with a lovely sea view, the apartment was very well equipped in a perfect location.

We stayed at the apartment in October 2014 and found the apartment to be outstanding to the highest standard. Also close to the main restaurants and bars but far enough away for no noise.
