Great cottage, spotless, in a lovely location
This was a very well-equipped cottage, spotlessly clean, in a great location which we already knew and loved. We use self-catering cottages a lot, both for business and pleasure, and it's good to stay somewhere which is really comfortable and where the equipment is of a very good standard. The washer/dryer was a real bonus.

A Perfect Place To Stay
"We arrived at the cottage direct from a stay at the 5 star Wyndham Grand in Chelsea Harbour and were very warmly greeted by David who gave us a tour of the cottage and some local information - plus a delicious apple pie was a welcome gift waiting for us. This cottage was certainly not a step-down from the Wyndham Grand and in fact this would be the place we would always choose to return to if we had to make a choice between the two.
David was available 24hrs a day, if required, for any help or advice but never intruded on our privacy or the peace and quiet that we sought. We certainly got that here at this lovely cottage.
The cottage was absolutely perfect, scrupulously clean and excellently maintained with everything we would need for a weeks stay. The cottage was exactly as we had seen in the listing and in fact was even better in reality than we had hoped it would be. There is always a fear that going to a cottage in Scotland in Ocotber that it could be a cold place, but no, this cottage is excellentyl insulated and with a great heating system that makes for a very cosy and inviting atmosphere. So much so, that we had friends visit for dinner one evening and we almost had to push them out the door to get rid of them because they loved the cottage so much!
We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone but something inside us tells us not to, as we want to keep it to oursleves so that we can come back again and again. It is a perfect place to stay and relax and we could not recommend it more highly.
We have stayed in many cottages throughout the UK and have always tried to be totally honest and objective in any review for the benefit of both future visitors and the cottage owners. We cannot fault this cottage in any way, it is a perfect venue for enjoying the delights of Scotland - we will be back!

Fantastic holiday experience in Linlithgow and surrounds.
What a wonderful week we enjoyed with our friendsVictor and Rosalie Thompson from Yorkshire in Beaton Cottage, Linlithgow Cottages. We explored family history in Linlithgow itself, shopped for bargains in lovely charity and craft shops, experienced Falkirk Wheel, St andrews Golf Course, Mary King's Close and Edinburgh Castle in Edinburgh, thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Bonsyde Hotel - in all it was a perfect week and even the weather did not dampen our spirits. The welcome from you David and for the lovely sponge cake left by Helen, not to mention the chat in the pub on our last night will always remain in our holiday memories. Thankyou both so much.

Superb, welcoming cottages!
My wife and i stayed at the cottages for 4 nights and loved it. David was very friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely gift of home made soup for our arrival, made by his wife Helen. The cottage was very clean and to a high standard and had everything we needed and was exaclty as described on their website, the facilities were brilliant. The price for the cottage was exceptionally reasonable. We were made to feel very welcome by David when we arrived, we are planning to return in 2011!

the cottages have it all
with family close by in linlithgow we have visited the cottages often.and at all times of the year.
2 christmases with snow meant at times we could not venture far, but as the cottages have everything you could need for comfort we were more than content.
We watched the pheasants in the morning,fed the birds.and with such a superb view we were more than content.
In case people have not visited Linlithgow before, the cottages are perfectly appointed for Edinburgh,Falkirk, Srirling, The Trosachs, and so many places to visit, and Linlithgow is so lovely.

magic november break
greeted with a meal of delicious home-made soup, our stay couldn't have got off to a better start. The accommodation was excellent, the location quiet, views super, and within easy reach of Linlithgow and Edinburgh.

We loved it!!
We been very warmed welcom by the landlord David. The cottage was very good equiped with dishing mashine, washing machine and all you need in a kitchen, comfortable beds, TV, WiFi, etc. There is also a nice bar at the hotel beside. a fantastic view over Linlithgow and the castle at the other side of Linlithgow Loch. Itis quit close to Edinburg and some other cities. We loved it and we will be back some time!!
