Cosy and welcoming

Great Break in Tewkesbury
We had the great pleasure of staying at Crescent Cottage when visiting friends and family in the UK while on holiday from Australia. We wanted a location that would enable us to take day trips to Worcester, Ross-on-Wye, Stratford-on-Avon and Bath and still be able to relax in the evenings in a picturesque, traditional British town. We weren't disappointed. Tewkesbury has very easy access to major roads and is full of historic buildings, traditional pubs and good places to eat. Crescent Cottage is perfectly placed, close to the impressive cathedral and walking distance to everywhere. It comfortably accommodated seven, my family of five and the-in-laws, and we particularly enjoyed sitting out on the balcony terrace in the long, Summer, evenings. The house is full of charm and history with low ceilings and sloping floors but has all the modern features needed to make for a comfortable stay.

lovely property in great location
The house was really lovely and well furnished. There was a small courtyard where my young children could play outside and the owner who was nearby was very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal in centre of Tewkesbury and a vert short walk from shops and cafés. Would definitely recommend.

Great location but a little shabby
The house is situated in a great location with plenty of room and offers 'old worlde charm' with the modern touch. Firstly, free Wifi - great. The bathrooms are modern with one on the ground and one on the top floor. The washing machine and dryer are easy to use. The three bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The kitchen has good facilities tho I did not use the dishwasher or cook any meals and the lounge is comfortable and has a wood fire. The dining room has a door to the cellar which was a bit of a feature. Whilst we enjoyed our stay and the owner was very welcoming and obliging, the property would benefit greatly from a few replacements such as new towels, dressing gowns, cleaning of carpets and more attention to cleaning of appliances in the kitchen.

Lovely Quirky house in a fantastic location
Stayed here with my husband, mother and 2 children aged 1 and 3. We couldn't ask for a better location right in the heart of Tewkesbury. There was a lovely little park just at the back which was great. The house was very spacious for our entire family. As we live in a fairly modern house it was great to stay in an old one with all its quirky features (I have never seen walls so thick and you need to watch your head going up the stairs!!) Alex had provided all we needed for our stay plus more. The house was not 100% ideal for young children but we knew this before we arrived (steep stairs etc ) - This is a lovely old house so we expected that. If you want to stay in a period property right in the heart of Tewkesbury, with outdoor space (unfortunately due to bad weather we never got a chance to use the roof terrace) then Crescent Cottage if for you. We would have no hesitation stopping again next time we visit Tewkesbury.

Great house in great location
We stayed here as a central point for a large family. Lovely old quirky shaped house (windy steps not suitable for the disabled). We were cosy but not overcrowded. The cottage facilities are lovely - not only the basics but also the little extras - dressing gowns, hair straighteners and lovely to have our welcome pack of bread, eggs and a bottle of wine.
The roof terrace is delightful - plenty of room for all of us to have a barbecue, and it kept the sun all of the day. Unfortunately no actual garden to let our little dog out, but there are masses of easy walks nearby where he could run off his lead so it was no problem. The location is fantastic - so convenient for shops, pubs and restaurants. Can recommend Theoc House for couples and families - excellent quality food, reasonably priced, and child friendly. Also ate at the Bay Tree opposite which was also excellent quality. I would definitely go back here with one small proviso. The sofa bed in the snug is probably not ideal for an adult for a whole week - just a bit firm, but we managed.
Parking was really useful nearby and Alex, the owner, was really helpful without being intrusive. I would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful cottage andgreat location
Six of us stayed at Crescent Cottage. Surprisingly spacious with 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The downstairs lounge and dining room are a bit dark but that is characteristic of a Grade 11 listed building. The kitchen is new and bright. The roof terrace was a bonus. There is another room downstairs with a sofa bed. We did not have children but the facilities were there. There were a few small issues such as a problem with the electric shower and a bedroom window not opening. But in all honesty I believe the owner could have sorted the problems if we had asked. They were very friendly and live close by.
We would certainly stay there again.

The cottage and the owner made this lone of the best Christmases we have spent in the UK
Cottage was in ther centre of Tewkesbury and was warm, cosy, well-equipped and very comfortable. There was a parking space only 30 metres away and Alex, the owner, lived close by and was amazingly attentive.
The cottage made a super base for exploring the whole of the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean despite the rain and the floods.
We would not hesitate to recommend Crescent Cottage to friends and relatives.

Good Location and well equiped
2 couples went enjoyed their stay. We had the bedroom with the balcony and that was great for sitting outside and eating , drinking and reading. There is the Cathederal on view from here but the ringing of the bells can be a bit annoying.
The cottage itself does not have much bright natural daylight for me. I like natural light for reading so I had to use the balcony for reading.
The place had all the equipement one would need to stay and nice touch on arrival of milk,bread,butter,wine etc. Home from Home it is.
