Located in a beautiful valley with olive, pine, walnut and fruit trees this is a comfortable place to stay with great views of the valley and hills. It's away from it all but as the island is not large it is not far away from beaches and places to eat. You do need a car to get there but the owners were very helpful and arranged car hire for us and took us to the property when we arrived on the ferry.
The property is well maintained and clean and the pool is surrounded by pots of local plants. There is a very impressive BBQ area and beautiful terrace to sit out in the shade. There is also space to sit out beside the pool and it all feels very spacious and comfortable. We could happily move in!

A fantastic location with total calm, in a perfect rural setting in a comfortable, spotlessly clean cottage.
The cottage, the lovely caring owners and a beautiful island with gorgeous beaches and scenery made this a very memorable holiday. The pool was perfect, the cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners really do care about their guests. The linen and towels were changed regularly and a midweek clean kept everything to a high standard. The property is an old cottage, not a modern purpose built property, so expect to go downstairs to the bathroom and adapt to it’s layout; although this added to it’s charm. Seating areas on the terrace allowed for perfect outdoor living and eating. One of the best built in BBQs we have ever had was situated in the outside kitchen. Beach towels were not provided so take your own. We have the greatest of respect towards Pipitsa and Giannis because they really do want guests to have a wonderful holiday and our thanks go to them.

Peace and tranquility on this stunning Greek Island
We had an amazing two week stay at Mulberry Cottage thanks to the fabulous hospitality of Pipitsa and Giannis. Mulberry is furnished in a very welcoming and comfortable style which makes you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. The villa is situated on a stunning Grecian hillside and gets maximum sun throughout the day; it’s the perfect location for couples who want a romantic holiday in a beautiful and idyllic setting. We spent a lot of our time relaxing and sunbathing out on the patio, which was made even more enjoyable by the peace, tranquility and gorgeous views. The swimming pool is the perfect size for two, and Giannis makes sure it’s in perfect order by clearing away any leaves or debris that might have fallen in. All of our thanks go to Pipitsa and Giannis for making our holiday so wonderful and we will definitely be back again.....hopefully in the not to distant future! Pete and Rose x

Absolutely Wonderful!
My partner and I stayed here for 3 weeks in August of 2018. We were met at the ferry departure by the lovely hosts, Gianni and Pipitsa and everything was smooth sailing from them on. They were available for any questions, helped reserve the rental car, came by regularly for cleaning and change of towels. It was wonderful to have the privacy of the cottage but to be close by beautiful beaches and also about 15 min to the main town. The pictures are a very accurate representation of the house and we could not have been more pleased with our time in Skopelos. The island itself is not overrun with tourism, prices are good and people are friendly. I would highly recommend the island and certainly highly recommend Mulberry Tree Cottage! Thank you for a wonderful visit.

Wonderful!
My husband and I stayed in Chestnut Cottage for 8 nights in September. We had a really wonderful relaxing time in this lovely cottage, everything we needed was there and apart from one spectacular overnight thunderstorm, the weather was perfect. We spent most of our days lying by the pool or reading in the shaded veranda area and enjoyed the daily visits from a cat and her four tiny kittens. We were in the highest cottage of the three which made the narrow track to it a bit hair-raising but ensured privacy and peacefulness. The wasps were a nuisance because of the ripening fruit so not a good time to visit for anyone allergic to wasp stings. Yannis and Pipitsa were extremely helpful and we really appreciated them arranging our car hire and meeting us off the ferry to take us to the property.
We hope to return another year and will book to stay in the same cottages.

Pipitsa and Giannis met us on the road from the ferry to take us to the villa. I always look forward to that feeling when you arrive at a holiday property and hope that it is everything that the photos show. Well this property was better than the photos! It was so much bigger than we imagined and felt so luxurious overlooking the peaceful valley. The villa has everything you need for a perfect holiday. A fully kitted kitchen, cooking facilities and a large fridge. A sandwich toaster and a toaster for snacks and breakfasts. A barbecue outside allowed us to cook meat bought at the local butchers and a long table under a canopy for our meals. The bedroom and bathroom facilities were perfect. A big wardrobe, ironing board and washing machine means you can pack lightly. A hairdryer and towels were provided. Shutters on the windows meant that the strong morning sun didn't get in the way of a lie in. Wifi worked well. The sun drenched patio and pool side were blessed with trees for shade at the hottest part of the day. The pool was big enough to relax in and get cool and had a filter and net provided for cleaning. The house and pool were cleaned mid holiday and towels and sheets changed 3 times. We didn't need to call the owners but knew they were available should we need them. The local cats visit but are no problem and like to be fussed and fed before going on their way. The property was within driving distance of everything Skopelos had to offer. Agnodas was our preferred evening taverna location with 3 fish restaurants on offer. Elios was our favourite beach and ice cream was plentiful in Skopelos Town. Overall, we can't say enough about the villa. It was a perfect, peaceful holiday and we felt thoroughly rested at the end of it. I would recommend it completely for anyone looking for a luxurious Greek holiday with all of the trappings of home. Thanks you so much Pipitsa and Giannis.

Perfect!!
We have just returned from our stay at Mulberry Cottage and were completely blown away by the place. It was all that was described and more...beautiful, tranquil, charming and secluded.
The cottage itself is more than adequate for self catering purposes with everything you could require and more. Inside is just charming and full of character. The outside space however is amazing .... actually better than the pictures if that's possible! We had some great fun barbequing on the amazing terrace with meat sourced from a local butcher that the owners took us to on the day we arrived.
We never tired of the views across the mountains and the peace that went with it.
Although a car is a necessity nothing really seemed that far away on this beautiful island.
The most helpful advice I can give is about the insects, they are in abundance as is expected when in the mountains, get plenty of mosquito repelant (Citronella and lavender, available at chemists) and if you are a little squirmish where insects are concerned it may not be the best place for you. If however you want a carefree holiday in beautiful surroundings without neighbours this is definitely the place for you.
Daphne and Chesnut cottages which were a little further up the mountain are also beautiful and very secluded in the way they have been positioned and planted. Whilst there were no other guests at these properties during our stay we are sure that if there were, you would still have had adequate privacy.
The owners were brilliant right from the start with their prompt response to our emails and helpfulness along the way with any questions we had.
On arrival we had been left lots of information, a bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. They even came to the port on our day of departure to bring a local gift and wave us off.
We aim to return as soon as possible and even considered taking up squatters rights!!

Beautiful!!
I don't really want to leave a review because I would like to keep this location all to myself! It really was perfect. The owners were delightful and the location was beautifully quiet with stunning views of the hills. We love the island, and having been six years ago we were so pleased to see that little had changed. The beaches are a close drive away and the green of the pine forests make the surrounding areas so lush. The cottage is idea for a quiet getaway with a lovely little pool - you do need to be able to love or ignore cats!
I would highly recommend this place.

Top Ferienhaus!
Wunderschönes, sehr gepflegtes Steinhaus. Super eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht.
Das Haus liegt etwa fünfzehn Auto-Fahrminuten vom Städtchen Skopelos entfernt und ist mit einem Auto oder Scooter ( eigener Parkplatz ) gut erreichbar. Sehr ruhige und grüne Umgebung. Ein Schlafzimmer und ein separates, Galerie ähnliches Schlafzimmer ist vorhanden. Im Eingangsbereich gibt es nochmals eine Schlafmöglichkeit. Super, gepflegter Swimmingpool, Aussengrill und Waschmaschine. Obwohl es während unserem Aufenthalt ende Juli, anfangs August 2015 sehr heiss auf der Insel war, blieb die Temperatur im Haus durch die Steinbauweise immer schön angenehm. Wir haben die Klimaanlage somit nicht mal gebraucht. Pipitsa und Giannis, das Vermieter Paar, sind sehr herzlich und super Gastgeber. Anfragen per Email wurden jeweils sehr schnell beantwortet.
Ich kann das Ferienhaus sehr empfehlen und wir würden es sofort nochmals mieten!
Vielen Dank Pipitsa und Giannis, wir kommen sicher wieder mal nach Skopelos in euer Ferienhaus.
