The house is spacious, clean, well-stocked and luxuriously well-appointed. We are six adults who spent our days visiting many of the sites along the Golden Circle. We also drove to Vik to horse-back ride on the black sand beach (approximately 2 hour scenic drive). We ended each day with a soak in the hottub, which was wonderfully relaxing. Unfortunately we did not see the Northern Lights but saw quite a few beautiful sunsets! We appreciated the fully equipped large kitchen and bbq grill to cook dinners at night. The check-in was easy and the hosts very responsive. Thank you to Agni and Hildur for sharing your amazing home!

The location and views are amazing! The home is beautiful and I loved all the windows. Even if it's cold and windy outside it's always warm and cozy inside. The living room area is very comfortable with great views all around. The deck allows for a protected area from any wind. The home is very well located and close to many of the main attractions on the Golden Circle. We were very happy with our stay and sad to leave.

Sofaxi villa is exactly as described. The owner provided clear, written directions and instructions for the home's appliances and features, as well as hiking options and local restaurants. Everything worked perfectly and their recommendations were accurate. The home has an extraordinary view and location for many activities within a short distance.

The other reviews say it all. This was the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in: so comfortable and great launchpad for some amazing activities in the Golden Circle. And we can’t thank Hildur and Agni enough for their very quick and helpful responses to our many questions. We will be dreaming about Solfaxi for years to come!

We had a wonderful experience at a very special and beautiful place - the best place for Northern lights and landscape impressions. The house has really everything you need to have a pleasant time. The rooms and everything else was very clean and with high and aestetical standard. You feel comfortable at the first moment. The view is the best we had ever in Iceland (it was the 8 time), just gorgeous and just staying at the house is a great experience. The kitchen is very well equipped and brings people together. The house is warm and cosy and we loved the heat on the floor. The same with the hot tup. The contact with Agni was helpful and he cared about us as the big storm came. So we felt really safe and want to recommend this house and Agni and Hildur as friendly and supportive hosts. We always had the feeling that we are welcome. We want to come back to this beautiful place.

The property is as amazing as the pictures show. Everything you need is there. including bathing suits for the hot tub in case you forgot yours. Agni and Hildur were wonderful hosts. They checked on us frequently, via text, to see if we had everything we needed. On the day before we were to leave, Agni sent us a text informing us of inclement weather warning for the next day when we would be driving to the airport. He called us the next day to see if we were all right and told we could stay an extra day if we felt the drive would be too treacherous. We were 6 adults staying in a luxurious home. Many of the sights along the golden circle were accessible from the house even in January. the hot tub warmed up our bones after being out in the cold. I would highly recommend this property.

This home was perfect for our family to spend our Holiday exploring southern Iceland. The house was just as pictured with plenty of space and beds for the seven of us. The hosts had Christmas decor throughout which made us feel welcome and cozy. The panoramic views from the house are amazing. We enjoyed listening to the Faxi waterfall nearby while sitting in the hot tub. Self check-in/out was easy and convenient. While staying at Solfaxi we visited Kerid Crater, Gullfoss Falls, the Geysir, Thingvellir National Park, The Secret Lagoon and Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths. We ate (both ice cream and dinner) at Efstidalur Farms (with the cows) and had dinner at Restaurant Mika. We would highly recommend staying at Solfaxi while visiting southern Icelend!
