Beautiful Large House in Great Location
I booked a one week holiday at yiayia's house with some friends during September through the holiday-lettings website. We arrived at night and it was very easy to find through the narrow streets of Old Limassol with the helpful map on the website. The owner met us at the house to let us in and showed us around and gave us very helpful information on where to find local restaurants, shops and the beach which are all within a 5-10 minute walk away. We tried three of the local restaurants next to the castle and all of them were amzing. It seemed to be a local, rather than tourist spot. The house is very spacious with two bathrooms, three bedrooms, two living rooms and a kitchen. There is a/c, a tv, washing machine and wifi internet etc ie all the modern conveniences of home. There is even an outdoor terrace area with a bbq to make your own kebabs! There is a parking lot across the road for your hire car where is it €1/day to leave your car off the street. Bed linen and towels were provided. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return again if we ever come back to Cyprus.

Authentic historic luxury right in the centre of the old town. Loved it
We stayed at this spacious house for a wedding in Limassol old town and easily had the shortest walk home of all the guests! It was an ancient house (I think we were told the oldest part was three or four hundred years old) which has been modernised recently but leaving some lovely original features. We loved the antique furniture, but especially loved hosting a mini champagne/sunbathing reception on the balcony for our friends! Parking was a short walk away (100m or so) but the nearby market and castle (and beach) were so near that we didn't drive that often. This is somewhere for those who want to be a bit removed from the touristy beach front and experience the historic old town at its best.

Excellent
My wife and I stayed here for a week in October. We found the property to be newly renovated, clean, tidy and well-equipped. Its central location meant that we could walk to the local market, restaurants or to the sea in just a few moments. The old part of town the property is situated in is devoid of modern developments and there are few other holiday homes nearly. Therefore, the area is full of character and so we found it enjoyable to just wander the local streets and soak in the atmosphere. Although the streets are narrow, there was ample space to park the car we hired. We would however recommend using a sat nav as many of the narrow streets are necessarily one-way and we would have found it tricky to find the house on the first occasion with only a map. The owners were very prompt and helpful in providing information on just about anything but left us completely alone during our stay. Overall, this was one of the absolute best properties we have ever rented and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Convenient, but good place to see non-tourist Limassol
This old Ottoman house is in a working area in Limassol, between the castle and the cathedral, so it is central and a short walk to the new marina that was being built when we stayed there. Although close to tourist attractions (such as the castle) it lies in a street full of non-tourist shops and small businesses. Staying there gave us a real feel for day-to-day life in Cyprus, and is the sort of place we like much better than 'made-for-tourists' rentals. The house has been carefully restored, preserving some original features, and is airy, with high ceilings and a small internal courtyard. It has an unusual but usable layout and we found it very comfortable, with air-conditioning to make life easier for us softies. The only minor drawback (not a problem for us) was difficulty in parking right outside the front door - but parking is available a short walk away. I think it would be okay for people with minor disabilities but best to check with the owners.

Remembering the good old days!
We stayed at Yiayia's house which is ideally placed to explore the old town including St Andrew's St, the Castle, Museum and a small zoo. The house was very well provided for a holiday and the hostess was extremely helpful, meeting us late at night and even providing a bottle of wine on arrival. We had all we needed. The area is tourist free and has a covered market for fruit and veg and many small shops in short walking distance for groceries etc.
Restaurants are plentiful but the Limassol Sailing Club which is about 4 miles east of Limassol is good value and friendly. The beach is within walking distance but if you want the nearest quiet beach to swim go to Ladies Mile which is out of Limassol on the Franklin Roosevelt and follow the signs. Other local beaches are very touristy so for quiet places drive West taking the B6 to the beaches past SBA Episkopi to Paramali, Evdimou and Melanda and further on to Paramali which is quite busy and developed. These have just one restaurant on the beach with good local food. The small restaurant leading to Curium beach beside the small monastry is excellent value.
There are numerous archeological sites. Go to Colossi Castle, Curium, Apollo's Temple, Amathus,Kouklia and for wonderful Mosaics don't miss Paphos. Here there is a good resaurant on the keyside with a live pelican to watch (not the one in the 60s!)
Car hire we did through Auto Union out of Paphos and was trouble free. Do not buy the extra insurance for WUG (wheels underbody glass) unless you're going off track.
We ate, what was for us, a normal breakfast , had a large lunch at restaurants and in the evening had cold meat salads with cheese and local wine and fruit ,all bought locally, which was proceeded by an apperitif sitting under the stars on the patio roof. What more could one ask for?

Great place, great location, full of character
A 200+ year old house located near to a lot of restaurants, shops and places to wander, this is quite a unique place and gives a nice taste of the old Limassol. Owners and their relatives very friendly and helpful too - couldn't wish for more, and hope to come back soon.

Cute and cosy in a perfect old town location
I stayed here with 2 friends for a week-long holiday in March. We had such an amazing time, received the warmest welcome and felt at home right away.
The apartment is full of character and comfort and there was plenty of space for the 3 of us - with a bedroom each and spare beds there would have been room for more. There is a super sunny roof terrace which we enjoyed having breakfast on each morning and lots of social space inside for the cooler evenings.
The location is what really made the holiday, the apartment is in the heart of the cobbled historic streets of the Old Town, with lots of interesting shops, restaurants and bars. The castle is a very short walk away and we enjoyed nightly strolls in the surrounding streets and stop offs in the many and varied bars. The new marina complex isn't far from here either and was a great place to sit in the sun with a coffee or ice cream. There is so much to do in Limassol and beyond so it really is a fantastic holiday destination, whether you are into outdoor pursuits or archaeological sites or even escape rooms, there really is something for everyone!
Overall I couldn't recommend this place highly enough and can't wait for our next visit! Thank you so much for having us.
