An absute must for exploring the Forest of Dean
The lodge was of the highest quality in every respect. Very clean, everything you could possibly need for a fantastic stay. The location was stunning, overlooking forest and you get the sun from early in the morning to late in the evening. The hot tub is an excellent bonus. Would gladly return.

Fantastic spacious lodge, large decking area with beautiful view. Amazing location
My wife, one daughter and I had an amazing four-night break here at the end of the six weeks holiday. The lodge was spotless and is beautifully laid out with plenty of space, and the decked patio area is very large too with a lovely view and of course the very welcome hot tub to slip into at the end of the day with complete beautiful lights overhead to turn on as the night sets in. It was so quiet and peaceful and a lovely base for exploring all the Forest of Dean has to offer as well as the wonderful city of Bath which is only about an hour away. I had to contact the host, Kelly, once as I accidently broke something and she was she so friendly and an absolute pleasure to speak to. I get the sense that nothing is too much trouble for her guests and I would not hesitate in booking with her again.

Absolutely wonderful
Stunning lodge that was well equipped and very clean, wonderful views and literally just steps away from fabulous forest walks. The hot tub was great to relax in and there were some nice little extras on arrival...just perfect

Amazing!
The lodge was spotless and Kelly was more than willing to help out with any queries or questions! Beautiful views too, the hot tub was the best part of our stay, so relaxing. Dog friendly too so we could all have a holiday as a family without the worry of someone staying home to dog sit! Would definitely return. Thanks again Kelly x

A great forest weekend
Wow what a great place. We had the most amazing weekend staying at squirrel lodge. Beds comfy, equipped with everything you need. Great footpath into the forest right outside the property. Fantastic outdoor space with hot tub and views over the valley

We had the most amazing stay in Squirrel Lodge, highly recommended. Beautiful lodge, very clean, great location for dog walks. Kelly the owner was very helpful, I cannot fault this owner/lodge/location at all. Loved it💕

Fab Stay at Squirrel Lodge
Squirrel Lodge was tidy and homey with everything as advertised and we have a great stay for friend’s birthday weekend. Clearly a well kept property 😃 Plenty of wildlife to see and great view from outside on the deck/ while relaxing in the hot tub helped by the clear dry weather. Lovely and quiet and pretty walk into the forest next to the lodges. Also had great day out and boat trip in Symonds Yat East 20 min drive away and dinner at the Miners Sling which we walked to. Would stay again. 😃

Beautiful lodge in a tranquil setting
My friends and I spent 3 nights at Squirrel Lodge to celebrate my birthday. The lodge was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We were not overlooked at all and enjoyed beautiful views of the valley . The bird table was a delight to watch , bird food was available for us to feed them. The hot tub was clean and a perfect temperature. Lots to do nearby , especially walking. We would recommend a stay here for anyone wanting to switch off and relax in this gorgeous setting

Lovely stay in this beautiful lodge
We have just stayed in squirrel lodge, and we absolutely loved it! Beautiful scenery, great location, lovely walks and only a few minutes drive to shops and pubs. Fantastic location if you want a relaxing break, and being dog friendly is a bonus. This is our second stay this year, will definitely be back soon. Thanks to Kelly for making our stay so perfect

Exactly what we all needed !
A perfect weekend getaway in the forest with beautiful views from the decking and lots of time spent relaxing in the hot tub. The lodge was very clean and well looked after and the added extras of a couple of Easter eggs was a lovely treat. We enjoyed the nearby sculpture trail and a gorgeous sunny day at Symmonds Yat. The dog loved having the forest on the door step too! Thank you Kelly
