The actual accomodation is fine with no complaints. But be aware....if you have a large car you will find parking...which is down a narrow alleyway very difficult, especially if the house next door is occupied and also needs parking. Luckily we took my wifes small car.If Id taken my large car I wouldnt have been a happy bunny. The only way to get out would have been to reverse down the very narrow alleyway to get back into the high street...so..be warned

Very smart but lacking comfort.
Location is good if not a little difficult to find, it's down a side street under an arch.
Quiet area, just an owl hooting kept us awake(no complaints, it was great).
Modern style, with everything needed in place for cooking anything.
The only negative, which was quite a big one for us, was the seating in the living area it looked lovely but after a day tramping about it wasn't very comfortable at all.

birthday celebrations spoilt
Ok lets start with the positive, the property is wll appointed and in an ideal position set back from the road it is quiet and there is off road parking. Downstairs is spacious with a large wello equipped kitchen the living area is comfortable.
Now the not so positive, upstairs the bedrooms are small as they have made them both ensuite, there are no wardrobes or drawers jus some open shelves and hat stand. As apoor sleeper i was delighted to see the bedroom window had a black out blind and the bed was really comfy but my delight was shorted lived as in the morning i realised there was a skylight without a blind above my bed which was bad enough in September and wouldve been even worse had it been in the hight of summer had i been aware of this i would not have booked this property and lack of sleep ruined my birthday celebration The ensuites are small but that said the shower enclosure ar large The bathroom i used had a leak around the toilet which was going thru the floor onto the ceiling below
Be aware that you may have to be off grid for your stay which also means no tv as it only has streaning services. We had wifi fir rgw first day then when next door was occupied it went down We phoned host & stay and they said an maintanance person was going out to next door and they would ask him to call in to us. When he arrived he told us that this was an ongoing probable becaise the owner was trying to run 2 properties on one supply Needless to say we had no wifi for our 4 night stay. This made life difficult as we wanted to find places to go
When we returned home i contacted H&S and they were adament the problem with the wifi was down to BT which is obviously not what we had been told or what we had seen for ourselves. Eventually H&S staid they would give us £40 refund as a gesture of good will for our inconvenience which one month and several emails later i have not yet recieved
In short i would stay again if they sorted out the maintenance issues but i wouldnt book with H&S again

Thank you for your review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the location and the amenities. i do apologise about the lack of sleep due to the sky light having no blind, i will pass on your suggestion to the owner of the property.
I would also like to apologise about the wifi issues that you encountered during your stay, this is currently being reviewed by our team. In regards to the leak around the toilet, this issue has not been resolved however, i apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. I wold like to thank you for taking the time to leave us this review which has allowed us to make relevant amendments.

Maintenance issues
Perfect location near centre of town. Well equipped and comfortable beds
But we had to sweep cigarette butts from outside the front door.
One blind had a missing chain so couldn’t be lowered, Kitchen tap loose
A previous leak in bathroom had not been fixed, smell in bathroom and damaged bathroom: floor, unsightly stain on living room ceiling. Couldn’t find out how to increase the water temperature of the shower.
Shame that the maintenance of an otherwise attractive property isn’t kept up
