Delighted to return to this modern and very comfortable villa. The peace and the tranquility of the location make it the ideal place to relax and enjoy all the local area has to offer. The view from the balcony is stunning and we loved the new layout of the open plan kitchen, dining and seating area which made the most of the views, what a lovely surprise. We all had a great time and the weather was kind to us which was the icing on the cake! We plan to return. The owner was very helpful when I spoke to him on the phone and although we didn’t meet the caretaker Yvonne she made us feel very welcome - we all enjoyed the sweets, thank you.

The area was very quiet and about 2 miles from really good amenities in Banchory. Good walks around the area and nice views from the balcony. The equipment in the kitchen was sparse and the pans all scraped and old. The place was tired, dining room chairs were all stained. Carpets with lots of stains. All the floors creaked every time you walked on them.

Very convenient self catering villa as my mother is a resident on the Inchmarlo estate. I understand why the main living area is on the first floor as the views are beautiful but it was a little inconvenient with two dogs who we could hear running around first thing in the morning on our ceiling! There was everything we needed in the villa for our short stay. The drying cycle on the washing machine took much longer than I am used to. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was above average quality. We had a little issue with the hot water and heating but that was resolved after we spoke to the owners who were very helpful. We were more than happy with the accommodation and would be very happy to stay there again on our next visit. It was particularly appreciated that our dogs could stay for free as we had to pay for them to stay with us on the way up from West Sussex when we stayed in a hotel.

It was a great week, wonderful views and we were lucky with the weather too. The holiday home was so comfortable and warm and well equipped. Having our dogs with us made the holiday and we were able to give them a good local walk before our day started. We hope to return next year.
