High Tide, a place of magic and wonder
Just after spending a lovely week in High Tide, family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids, 8,4, and under 2,what a beautiful place to stay, Accomadation was excellent with all modern amenities, location of the property to tour the Hook peninsula was excellent, close to the car ferry to Waterford, 35mts to Wexford town, 20mts to New Ross. Very close to Tintern/ Dunbrody Abbey/Hook lighthouse and Duncannon Fort. Loads of historical and nature places close by. Hosts were exceptionally Accomadating and very knowledgable of the area. Playgroubd veey close to the property with a number of accessible trails to the beach, as well as access from the property.House was absolutely spotless, book early to guarantee your stay, Summer 2023 and 2024 booked out. This is a fab place to visit any time of year

Amazing week
We had such a lovely week. The house was immaculate and well designed. Always a friendly welcome by Alice it feels like a second home. Looking forward to coming over again next year!

Fantastic Home with sea front views
This home was outstanding. It had all the amenities modern kitchen, huge master bedroom with very large bathroom, views from the master bedroom. It has two other bedrooms with en suite restrooms. It has an enormous front patio/porch. Even on a rainy or cloudy day it’s absolutely gorgeous as you are right on the sea. The views are spectacular! The home is very bright and cheery and it is steps up into the town for a shopping and a lovely pub.

Summer holiday High Tide
We had a beautiful family holiday at High Tide. From start to end of our holiday Alice and Kevin couldn't have been more helpful.
The view from High Tide is simply breathtaking
We had everything we needed in this house,and beautiful large terrace area to enjoy the sun and dine
I would definitely recommend this holiday home,and hope to return again

Outstanding!
We spent Christmas week at “High Tide” and it turned out to be a most pleasurable experience. The house is beautifully furnished and the kitchen very well equipped. It was spotlessly clean. There are two bedrooms on ground level, one very large double and a smaller twin. Upstairs is another lovely double bedroom. All rooms are en-suite (the bathroom next to the double bedroom on the ground level is truly amazing).
A car can be parked right at the gate to the terrace. This terrace is huge and there are tables and chairs (it must be quite nice to be able to sit out there in summer) and there is private access to the beach. The property is pet-friendly and our two dogs really loved running around the terrace and the long walks on the beach.
We loved the view over the water to the Hook Lighthouse to the left, Woodstown beach right across and Duncannon Fort to the right and witnessed some splendid sunsets.
There are plenty of places to explore in the area, for example the Hook Lighthouse, Slade Harbour with its well-preserved castle, Loftus Hall (please note: the house is closed in winter), Tintern Abbey, Dunbrody Abbey, the John F. Kennedy Arboretum and Slievecoillte with its amazing views. You can take the ferry from Ballyhack over to Passage East and drive to Waterford or Dunmore East. New Ross and Wexford town are not far.
Roche’s about 200 m from the house is a nice pub with friendly staff and very decent food. Across from Roche’s is the Strand Tavern which only reopened just before Christmas and serves very good food, too. Daily essentials can be got at the petrol station in Arthurstown, just a short drive away.
Alice and Kevin were lovely and welcoming hosts. They had even gone to the trouble of putting up a Christmas tree and decorations. This was a nice touch which we appreciated very much.
“High Tide” is a truly outstanding property and I can recommend it without hesitation. We had such a relaxed and enjoyable week there that we have already booked our return visit.

Superb property
Beautiful property. Over viewing the blue flag beach of Duncannon,spacious property everything you will need for a brilliant holiday especially if you have children who love the beach.

Marvellous place. Could not have been better. The view the sea the comfort. Had lovely meal in Roches

Amazing!
I spent two wonderful weeks, at High Tide, Beach House, LITERALLY. At the Beach!,,, I wanted to go in the “ quiet season” as I have two little dogs, we walked the beach ( private steps to beach) two or three times every day. The owners, Alice and her husband live adjacent,they are so very kind and helpful but not at allintrusive. they also own Beach House, ( next door) the views from yourPRIVATE deck are just so wonderful and peaceful. It’s the closest I’ve been to Heaven!,, so much so I’ve booked again for two weeks next Spring!,,we also visited Tinter Abbey( wonderful walks) and Wellington Bridge, lovely store there called Wallace( norelation! Tinter Abbeyis FULL of bluebells in May! Lovely Centra in Ramsgate, ( 2 miles away) with great meat, hot chickens, and really good fresh produce.
