We left after a few hours the lodgings were disgusting!
Absolutely disgusting, is all I can say!
We did not stay I could not let my kids sleep in this squalor contacted the person in charge, sent them the evidence of how bad it was (through booking.com) not a single person contacted us to offer an apology and/or refund! £380 down the drain!
Let me expand on the issues!
Yellow pillows/stains on mattresses, what looked like blood on some of them, rubbish left from previous occupants, fire alarms missing, dust everywhere, lighting fixtures hanging off the ceiling, unsafe electrical practices with extension cords close to beds, missing lamp shades, rust on metal items in the property, remotes for the TV melted and not working.
And an overall smell of damp within the house, you would think for around £170 per night the property would be immaculate, it was not ever close!
Do not bring a young family to these premises, it's not clean, contrary to what the person who greeted us said when we contacted her and told her we were leaving.
Absolutely abhorrent!

Wonderful
We booked this lovely little cottage for New year's Eve for two nights, for a family of 5 plus our pet dog Mollie. We could not have been happier.. perfect location, neat and tidy, fully equipped and so peaceful. Lovely view and listening to the sounds of the Sea from the deck was just perfect... minutes walk to the beach,park and the beautiful village. Gerard the owner and Catriona who looks after the cottage could not have been more helpful. Lovely open fire too. So... wonderful, we will book again soon.

Costa del Cushendall
As an alternative to going abroad this summer we decided to plan a break to Cushendall for a large group of us (8 adults, 3 children) for 5 nights (with a tent provided which we put in the private front garden, along with our own, to sleep 3 of us we all fit very comfortably). I can honestly say that by the end of the week none of us wanted to go home. The cottage was beautiful, sparkling clean, with everything you could need to feel at home! The decking out the front of the house was one of the best points, being able to sit out anytime of the day enjoying the gorgeous 180° view, only able to hear the birds and sea. The back garden has a bbq, table and chairs, and lots of space to run around which were definitely put to good use.
We were incredibly lucky to arrive just as a heatwave hit. With the best weather we could have hoped for we made the most of it. Everyday we took advantage of our location by going to different places along the coast - Cusnedun(Mary McBrides food is amazing), Torr Head, Glenariff Forest Park, Watertop Farm, Portballintrae (jumping in the rock pools), Ballycastle, Giants Causeway, and Balintoy.
One of the top points about booking to stay at Ballymacdoe Cottage was the service we received from Gerard (the owner) and of course Triona who greeted us when we arrived. Gerard rang us on the first evening to make sure we had settled in and and advised us prior to our holiday of activities and tourist spots to visit on our stay. He could not have done more for us and those extra personal touches didn't go unnoticed.
All in all, we couldn't have had a better stay and I would recommend Ballymacdoe Cottage to anyone. You will not be disappointed!

Visiting a relative who was ill and catching up on family.
We had an elderly uncle with us to visit a relative who was very ill. The cottage had everything that we needed.It was very cosy and the location was great. The beach was minutes away and it was wonderful to be able to open the door and be able to just look over the bay in one direction and Lurig in the other. On arrival we had fresh milk, bread etc waiting on us which we found very welcoming after our journey.I would have no hesitation recommending this cottage to anyone.

Een fijne en betaalbare cottage
Een goed uitgeruste en schone cottage. Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes naar bijvoorbeeld de Giant´s Causeway, Rathlin Island en de Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge.
Cushendall heeft een paar gezellige pubs en fijne restaurants op loopafstand van de cottage. Dat geldt ook voor de supermarkt waar je 's morgens heerlijke verse broodjes kan halen. We zijn hier een week geweest en hebben ons geen dag verveeld. Dit mede dankzij het prachtige weer.
De eigenaar, Gerard, is bijzonder vriendelijk en deed ons allerlei ideetjes voor uitstapjes aan de hand.

A beautiful location, tranquil, fab scenery with great restaurants and bars within distance
Stayed here over Xmas can only say it was amazing - great location - short walk to beach - sea view - short walk to village - the cottage was kitted out with everything you could need for a comfortable stay - restaurants,shops and bars so near - very quiet location

Wonderful, warm, spacious house with great views, close to the beach
We had a lovely stay in this great house. There was lots of room for our family of seven and it was very good value for money. The house is well-equipped with a very good quality washing machine and separated dryer. We didn't use the dishwasher but no doubt it is the same. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable that I slept better than at home! The open fire in the living room has to be experienced! The owner left us with all we needed to light it and enjoy it.
The beach is a few minutes walk away, forests and waterfall a short drive. We didn't have time to see everything so we'd love to go back! There is lots of information provided so you can make the most of your time, as well as free wifi included so you can research places to go for yourself. We were welcomed warmly and given lots of local information.

Great location, handy to village.
Cottage was in a ideal location for village of Cushendall, beach and exploring Antrim coast. The house was warm and very well equipped. With everything needed for a comfortable stay. The living room had a open fire and you could see the see.
We will definitely make a return visit.

Very comfortable, great location.
A stone's throw from the beach, a short walk from local amenities, the cottage has everything one might need. Dog friendly ( enclosed gardens front and rear ), car park. Less than a minute's walk to wine shop/.convenience shop, less than ten minutes' walk to pubs/restaurants. Lovely and warm, lots of towels/bed linen, welcome pack of tea/coffee, fruit bread, butter, sky tv, wifi, washer, drier, dish washer plus all other kitchen facilities, shower and bath. Lords of info re: local area, things to do. Cushendall is a lovely place, great for walking along the cost, through woods.hope to return quite soon.

Comfortable and clean with lovely a view of the sea
The house was spotless, warm and inviting. Lots of bed linen and towels. When we arrived there was tea making supplies and a fruit cake, which was much appreciated. A very pleasant lady met us and gave us a run down on the area. Lovely area with lovely walks. Really enjoyed our stay.
