We were disappointed to find the property had an issue with ants at checkin in the kitchen and bathrooms. The toilets kept running after flushing and rather than fix it the host had a written note saying, flush again - this didnt work. The property was poorly fitted out with only the basic minimum so we had no bed side tables in the main bedroom, no side tables in the living room, two small pots and one small frying pan. The kitchen table was dangerous as it was of very poor quality and moved at any knock. If you are going to do short term lets you need to invest properly in the property and not cut corners like this host. Finally after we check out she is now demanding an additional fee for cleaning! She sent through some photos which showed a handful of rice crispies on the worktop, some bread crumbs by the toaster, a number of small bits of paper under the table and a photo of the hob which needed a wipe down. All of this should be well covered in the standard cleaning fee. You can not trust this host not to add on additional charges be warned!! and rent from a host who is professional, understands the process and recoginises her responsililities!
