The Cevenne National park is a stunning place to visit with fantastic walking in the mountains and forests.
I booked Lozere because it was described as an isolated property with the closest neighbours at 200m.
This proved not to be the case
There was a new house being built with builders working most weekdays at 60m, a working busy farm building with large tractors and machinery to the rear of the house and nearly every day young children, dogs and adults past around the perimeter of the garden to access their vegetable plot.
The flat field to the front of the property was not avaliable for our use.
Some elecrical fitting were broken or difficult to use, and the Gité was generally dirty. Also some plates bowls and glass wear were chipped or cracked.
Our stay which we booked for 4 weeks, in this special environment was spoilt by the noise disturbance of people, dogs, builders construction, and farm working spoilt our time at L'Hermit
and we cut our stay there short, and returned to the UK earlier than planned, with additional cost of our euro tunnel crossing.
