The cottage was fine had everything you needed for a holiday. Location perfect for sightseeing. Revisiting the area last seen on a broad boat in 1982. If walking to the local town of Lodden, note you have to cross the busy A146 to reach and can take 35 mins. In the summer would probably be OK, but autumn months, gets dark early evening. Overall great time seeing Norfolk and Suffolk, the county boundary only 6 miles from the property. Great pub 6 miles left on A146 The Gull Inn, fabulous food and a couple of quirky things to see inside. Also try get to The Gunton Arms in Thorpe Market; visit: Wroxham/Hoveton; Potter Heigham and Southwold to name just a few places. Book now if wanting a great location and property in Norfolk!

We only stayed a week, and spent the days out exploring, the barn is ideally situated for travelling to all the places we wanted to go. Each evening we stayed put in the barn and recharged our batteries, it was so quiet and peaceful with wide open views sitting out in our garden was just the thing. would definately go again and would recommend others to
stay there. The barn itself was very clean, everything you would require in the kitchen etc, including a lovely welcome package. thank you to Jane for a great stay!!

Stubbs Barn was a very comfortable accommodation, very quiet and private, the proprietors were very friendly and we had literally everything we needed. We were very close to Norwich, Great Yarmouth and the Broads and had no trouble being able to see everything we wanted to with ease. Would definitely be happy to return or recommend this property.

We found the house to be comfortable, well equipped and clean. We were pleased to be gifted with fresh bread, eggs, jam, muesli and butter, which was a lovely start to our stay!
The property is located on a small farm/small holding and is very quiet and peaceful and yet still close enough to walk to Loddon for supplies and a pint. The garden is private and equipped with a table and a couple of chairs as well as a BBQ - though it isn't enclosed so it is worth bearing in mind that you need to supervise your kids as there is a pond nearby.
The open plan kitchen, dining and living room was perfect for us as our daughter could run around freely. The kitchen has just about everything you need - even detergent for the washing machine and dishwasher!
The location was perfect for us to explore the Eastern coast of Norfolk and Suffolk and the Broads (we particularly enjoyed Southwold and the beach full of seals at Horsey).
We would happily recommend the property to couples or small families and would stay again if holidaying in the area in the future.

Stubbs Barn cottage is an absolute gem! Exquisitely furnished and equipped Stubbs Barn cottage provides the perfect getaway. Yet it's also conveniently located for Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and the coast. We spent a wonderful fortnight at Stubbs Barn cottage and won't hesitate to return. Highly recommendable property! Jane and Martin are very friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you for the lovely welcome with bread, jam, eggs, chutney, muesli! And thank you for the brand new barbecue, of which we made good use during a sunny period.
P.S. Our teenage daughter especially liked the good wifi connection throughout the house.

We had a really lovely stay at Stubbs Barn Cottage, the cottage itself is wonderfully presented with a big, open plan living & dining area and two big bedrooms. Having a two year old we loved it all being on one level and the cottage has some excellent touches, like a walk in wardrobe, pull out bed (handy for our little one), great wifi with network points in every room and even a great music player (just bring some music on your phone and you're set). The location is whisper quiet and we loved walking round the corner to say hello to the sheep and chickens.
The hosts are lovely and supplied fresh eggs, bread, milk and marmalade on arrival and were happy to provide us with some yummy fresh produce - all of this was really appreciated.
Loddon itself is a lovely village with shops, a bank, lots of food options and some great pubs. We also found the location great for Norwich (12 miles) and you're roughly half an hour from 4 seaside destinations and the broads.
All in all we had a great time and we wouldn't hesitate in coming back. It's just a great place to relax.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at this property, both Jane and Martin (the owners) were very welcoming. The cottage has plenty of space and is very well equipped for any length of stay. It is a great base to explore coastal areas and back further inland to get to Norwich and north. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away and relax, then this is the place to stay. There are also solar panels & a wind turbine installed to generate electricity & hot water so is very eco friendly. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone with small children.
