This cabin is on a majestic piece of land about 15 minutes drive from Estes Park.
The cabin itself was clean and had all the amenities you need for a small or very large group. It’s not the most modern cabin, but it’s cozy. Beds are comfortable.
We heard elk bugles in the morning and had a heard of 6 elk does come through. The cabin is remote enough for zero light pollution, so the stars are bright and plentiful. The views of the twin sisters off the patio are awesome. Great way to have a cup of coffee in morning.
There’s a bench sitting on the backside of the property along a trail marked with yellow paint. The bench overlooks a ravine and mountains in the background. It’s your own little spot to sit and reflect while listening to the river below.
There’s a small fishing pond and it’s full of rainbow trout. My 6 year old caught one and it’s all he can talk about.
We stayed for 2 nights on a weekend trip from Houston. I personally loved this place. My wife said it was a bit dated, but she would stay again.
