Budget holiday with excellent service
We loved our stay in Robert's apt. We are an Indian family with 2 kids and we had a unforgettable experience at the beginning of April 12.
The apt itself is spacious, clean, well-equipped and everything worked well. We took the two big beds apt and it was perfect for us. The kitchen and kitchenette helped us a lot to cook our food as we are vegetarians. The apt building is quiet, far behind from main street, even though the bank (does currency exchange) and super market just across the street.
Before we came, we contacted Robert for his tour service around Beijing. Robert proposed a very thought-through 5 days itinerary and we could also customize our trip to our perference. Robert was our driver and guide and he did a wonderful job. During the tour, Robert was very flexible and willing to take us to places where we requested, he also helped to book the Kongfu ticket and drive us there. Even he helped us to find the right market for our bread and vegetable as we couldn't speak chinese. I spend a lot of time on seraching internet for what we should see and do in Beijing before the trip, but I soon realized that you can trust Robert for organizing everything. He suggested the Jinshanling great wall instead of common Badaling and Mutianyu section, and it is more realxed and less crowded.
In short, description about the apt and other guest's good reviews are all true. The service provided by Robert was excellent and beyond expectation. I would highly recommend to stay in Robert's apt and enjoy his tour service.

This is a great place to stay.
The room was spacious, quiet and sunny in the afternoon. The stove, fridge, air conditioner, microwave, washer and dryer worked, no problems. Price was good compared to other places in the neighborhood. I priced some other places, but didn't visit any. Restaurants, small food shops, two big malls close by and best of all, the apartment was within walking distance to an important subway station which has an express to the airport and is also known by nearly everyone. Also McDonalds is in one of the malls.

great location
Very centrally located close to subway, grocery store, restaurants excellent location. Room not quite like the picture. The apartment needs TLC. The bed was very very hard (my husband did not let me complain) but when I told the owner he told me that if I would of said something he would ov brought over some padding. No linen just the blanket & pillows (no pillowcases or sheets). No toiletries so bring your own. Robert the owner was our tour guide & he was fantastic. He was at the airport (even though we were late) to pick us up and he also dropped us off.

I have three studio apts in the same building, they are exactly the same with layout, size and facilities, small difference of the furniture. The pictures shown is one of them. The bed is a little hard to some western people as chinese use to sleep in hard matress, so more paddings is optional if the guest require it. It's very strange I provide full set of beddings like pillow case, sheets as well as linen but this guest didn't find them at all? and she never mentioned any problem during their stay.
I prefer the guest just let me know if they fell something uncomfortable during their stay so that I can make up something, better than write it down later.

Fantastic location and a lovely landlord
We are a couple from Sweden who during our travels prefer to live in an apartment and travel by public transpoty. For this purpose, was Robert´s apartment absolutely perfect! We rented one of the apartments, about 28 sqm, with two large beds. We felt very safe in the area and in the house. The view from the apartment is nothing special, but it does not matter because it meant that it was so increadibly quiet. The apartment was adequately equipped so that we could make our own breakfast. We also estimated the availability of washer and dryer when we stayed 12 nights. (Do not forget to ask Robert for demonstration bescause the maschine only has Chinese instruction.)
After two nights we contacted Robert because the beds were too hard for us. We asked if we could get thicker mattresses and also two reading-lamps. And as the kind and service-minded man Robert is, he arranged it immediately. Robert is a wonderful landlord, and it seemed like a great comfort. We knew that if we encounter a problem, he would do everything to help us.
We ate often at the restaurant on the ground floor. It was nice staff, good food, menus with pictures, cheap and close to home! We recommend the dessert with sesame paste, yummy!
The apartment´s central location makes it actually possibly to go to the Great Wall of China at Badaling by public transport. We took the subway from Dongzhimen to Xizhimen about 5:20 and walked to the Beijing North Train Station. We showed a note written in Chinese at the ticket booth, two people Badaling 06:12. A ticket cost 6 yuan and the train arrived 07:30 at Badaling. Arriving at the wall, we recommend that you go left when everyone else goes the easier route to the right. In this way we got Great Wall of China just to ourselves!
It is also convenient to go to the airport with the Airport Express from Dongzhimen. The journey takes 16 minutes to terminal 3, and cost 25 yuan.
We have some tips for your trip to Beijing;
Take with you a phrasebook, it is an invaluable help when almost no one speaks english,
and a guidebook in which all names and adresses are also in Chinese. Then you can always stop someone and show the Chinese text.
Bring a compass. This makes it tremendously more easier to navigate.
Leave the camera and purse at home if you will look at Mao, otherwise you will not be admitted.
Visit the Tempel of Heavens park early in the morning and look at everything that happens.
Walk in the hutongs, say Nihao! and try to make contact.
We also estimated the Summer Palace, the Forbodden City and the huge Capital Museum.
Robert was easy to communicate with and very concerned about his guests. If you know you have problems with your backs, tell Robert, and he will arranges thicker mattresses. If you do not want to travel independently, you can hire Robert as a guide. We know that Robert is a very good driver, as he picked us up at the airport. (Free if you stay longer than 10 days.) We think it was absolutely perfect for us to hire Robert´s apartment and will definitely rent it again when we return to Beijing!

Great place to stay in Beijing
I was very satisfied with my stay in this apartment.
The owner was very flexible with check in/ check out times.
The studio was clean, bright and conveniently located. I would definitely go back there if I come back to Beijing.

We really enjoyed it
We stayed in Yuanjia appartment for more than two weeks. We really liked the location, close to two subway stations and many bus lines. Also - and that is important for a stay in Beijing these days - it was easy to get a taxi. There are lots of shops around to buy drinks and food. Robert, the owner, speaks very good English and it is very easy to handle things with him. He is very friendly and even gave us a lift to the airport when we went home.
The appartment itself might not be comparable to a five star hotel, but it was clean, quiet ( less noise than in a hotel) and had a kitchen, washing machine, big fridge, wifi, TV and so on. When we asked for a DVD- player Robert even bought one.
We will stay there again.

Clean, affordable apartment convenient to subway and tourist attractions
The location was very convenient to the airport express and the subway which gets you to almost all the tourist attractions. The apartment was clean and bright, the bed and bedding comfortable. There was a small heat wave during our visit, so we really appreciated the efficient air-conditioning and the drinking water provided by the apartment owner. The kitchen was basic but we found such incredibly inexpensive little restaurants right behind the building for breakfast that we could not justify cooking! The restaurant on the ground floor was also pretty good, so we only used the fridge to store some fruit and pretty well just ate out. It is great to have laundry facilities although the dryer was not very efficient, something we did not bother investigating. The owner is very responsive when we needed anything, so we highly recommend this rental with the caveat: this is not a luxury rental.

podria ser inmejorable con un poco de inversion
Amplio ,luminoso,centrico departamento,da a un patio interior en un cuarto piso con un extractor proximo que en los horarios de encendido no molestaba, y sobreetodo es hermetico en los cierres de ventana y puerta
Buena ducha, buena seguridad, cerca del metro que es muy facil de usar y de las principales atracciones ,pudiendo hacerlas si les gusta a pie
Restaurants ,supermercados y bancos de cambio cerca, tambien mercados famosos para compras baratas de ropa ,carteras , valijas etc.
No lo recomendaria al menos para nosotros como tours, nosotros hablamos un poco ingles pero lo entendemos muy bien , este sr Sun nos llevo a Jinshanling la muralla ,por 1000 yuan y no nos hablo ni de ida ni de vuelta tuvimos que pagar el cable y ni siquiera nos ofrecio ir a almorzar ,se quedo abajo durmiendo en el coche por supuesto pagamos y contratamos a a miss Lu una maravilla,a lo mejor por ser mujeres no le interesaba ,no lo se, por lo demas atento con cualquier cosa que faltara
Los elementos de cocina muy basicos pero utiles,manchas en el empapelado, son cosas que son solucionables con mantenimiento
Tiene calefaccion, aire acodicionado, microondas , lavarropa y secarropa,buenos placares y espejos y secador de pelo, televisor comun grande, buena internet,no hay mantel ni individuales
Para nosotros falta inversion en limpieza en el baño y en sabanas que estaban sin planchar con manchas ,en la terraza con un microondas de deshecho, sobre el aparato de aire acondicionado, la tapa de la luz del baño suelta,la papelera de la cocina sucia

Perfect place for my vacation!
I stayed here for about 1 month in March this year. The condo was nicely decorated and clean. The location could not have been more convenient, it is a 3 mins walk to 2 subway stations, which can take you directly to the airport, it is within walking distance to Sanlitun, which is the bar/club party central, there is a gym and covenience store in the mall across the street, there is a restaurant and spa in the lower levels of the building. The location is near the embassy district so there are many international bakeries/restaurants nearby. Despite it's central location, it was very quiet, the street infront of the building does not get too much traffic espcially at night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It had all the amenities I was use to having in the US (there was a washer/dryer in the condo, rare to find in Beijing). To top it all off, Robert, the landlord was wonderful, very kind man, he was a phone call away for any issues/questions I had. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place.

Comfortable and Convenient
This apartment was in a perfect location. It was close to a lot of vendors, restaurants, and even a McDonalds. It was very quiet in the evenings which resulted in a good solid rest for the next day's adventures.
I felt very safe in this area and in the apartment. I was travelling by myself and was not an experienced traveller. There was security at the main entrance and they were always friendly.
I would definitely stay here again, if I get another chance to go to Beijing.
