Guests benefit from access to the building's several pools, Jacuzzi and gym, as well as the friendly concierge, on hand to help with any questions or requirements. The open-plan apartment (with separate bathroom) is approximately 40 sq. meters / 430 sq. feet in size and comes fully equipped with a large fridge freezer, cooker with halogen hob, microwave, washing machine, cooking utensils, crockery & cutlery. We have a Nespresso coffee machine, so feel free to bring (or purchase locally) your favorite pods (a few pods will be left for you to get you started). There is also a stylish glass dining table with two stools, sofa bed, large flat-screen TV, Bluetooth speaker system and DVD player. With one large bed the apartment is ideal for two people, but can sleep a 3rd person (ideally a child) on the sofa bed. We provide all bed linen, bath and pool towels. The private balcony is a great spot to sit and soak in the afternoon sun, or watch life go by with a morning coffee / evening drink. Free high speed (up to 250Mbps) WiFi & local calls are included, as is the use of all the great onsite facilities of the complex (including free WiFi by the pool!). If required, guests have free use of onsite underground parking in a dedicated parking bay. ON-SITE FACILITIES Guests will have full access to the facilities within the residence including: - Great (temperature controlled) outdoor pool, separate children's pool, large sun deck & jacuzzi - Fully equipped gym, plus a sauna & steam room (as if it's not hot enough!) LOCATION The apartment building, Bay Central Residence, is situated on the water's edge on the most central plot of Dubai Marina, opposite the Marina Mall and near the Dubai Marina Yacht Club. There is a supermarket at the base of the building called 'Zoom' which is open until late. They offer a delivery service to the apartment and also deliver refreshments to the pool area (including Starbucks, hot and cold snacks/drinks, ice cream, custom sandwiches etc). You can call Zoom from pool side and they will deliver direct to your sun lounger :-) There are also several other supermarkets (including Carrefour and Waitrose) under 10 minutes walk from the apartment building. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT The standard check-in time is from 1400hrs and check-out is before 1100hrs. If schedules allow and with prior arrangement, check-ins and check-outs can be completed anytime day or night - Please check before booking, as this is dependent upon other guests schedules and will incur a small charge. BOOKING PERIOD Our minimum booking period is normally 4 nights, but where we have a smaller number of nights available between bookings we can offer stays of less than 4 nights. ADDITIONAL SERVICES Airport pick up, higher frequency housekeeping, welcome hamper, trip / restaurant bookings & many other services are available at additional cost through my property/concierge company TOURISM DIHRAM In accordance with Dubai Government's Decree No. (17) of 2013, guests staying at hotels & holiday homes will be charged the “Tourism Dirham" fee for each night of occupancy. A belated review of a lovely stay At the beginning of March, I took my Mum to Dubai as an early birthday treat. After spending ages looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Dubai Marina without much success, I decided to look into apartments and Chris’s came with the top reviews. The apartment was as described and had everything necessary for a comfortable and relaxed stay. Before our arrival, I received very detailed instructions from Chris about the apartment, its location, taxis and amenities, which made our journey from airport very straightforward. The agency was also in touch beforehand, we were met and greeted on arrival, and our agent Julius was in touch during our stay . I am particularly grateful for his assistance with my mum’s taxi to airport (we travelled back separately). This was the only time we had an issue with taxi (generally very reliable and cheap!); my mum does not speak English and Julius stayed with her for almost an hour to ensure she gets her vehicle safely. A little bit about the apartment. There are all necessary appliances in the kitchen and the plan was that we would eat some meals at home. However, restaurants in the area were just too tempting so we mostly ate out, but it was nice to have a coffee machine and a fridge to keep fruit and milk in. A market downstairs was very handy. Balcony was a bit scary to start with as we both are not funs of heights, but after a couple of days we would enjoy our morning coffees there. We used the apartment’s pool a couple of times when we had other things planned and did not go to the beach. It is heated which was really nice as it was still a bit cool in the mornings/afternoons. There is a gym upstairs, which I used ones, but I generally find treadmill very boring, so was just too pleased to find out on the second day that exit leading to the market also takes you to a 7K of promenade (great place to run!) and an outside gym. Overall, we had absolutely amazing time in Dubai. We spent most days on the beach, did a bit of sightseeing, shopping, ladies night (highly recommended!) and famous Friday brunch (I wish I could fly back just for that!). This was our first trip to Dubai, but I think if I go back I would still stay in Dubai Marina area as we did not have to spend too much time travelling, and would definitely check availability for Chris’s apartment - really comfortable and good value, so there is more to spend on entertainment which Dubai has plenty to offer.

Stayed for four nights in this lovely apartment. Very modern and clean apartment perfect location on the Dubai Marina and a 5 minute walk to JBR. Lovely balcony to sit and enjoy breakfast or a nice glass of wine in the evening. Lots of fab places to eat out. Easy transport either by taxi tram or the metro all of which are easy to get to. A supermarket is located at the bottom of the building which stocks everything you might need. Lovely pool area on the second floor for your chill times with a book. Check in and check out nice amd easy with no issues. Great contact with owner of property before and after our holiday. Recommend this apartment to anyone thinking of a trip to Dubai.

Having stayed at Chris’s apartment last year, we did not hesitate to enjoy it again this year. While it’s situated very central to the majority of the JBR amenities, tram, train, Dubai Marina Mall, local supermarkets, and obviously the beach, it leaves you wanting for nothing, The apartment offers a home from home whilst on holiday, the opportunity to eat in if required, sit out on the veranda early morning or late evening. The management company that Chris uses are extremely courteous, and a pleasure to deal with, on hand if anything is required to assist your stay in Dubai. Chris is always open to questions on enriching your stay, from a simple use of a NOL card for the trams and trains (it really is an easy and cost effective way to travel around Dubai) to places to visit and eat via Timeout magazine and the such like. I would whole heartedly recommend a stay at this apartment, which includes both a gym and pool, and the opportunity to park a hire car if you have one.

3rd time my wife and I have stayed at this apartment. Great location with easy access to the beach, restaurants, tram and metro. Lovely welcome as usual. My son came over and stayed with us for 1 night, the sofa was made up for him a few days before, he said it was comfortable and also loved the apartment. Great view from the balcony, watching the world go by in the evenings. Chris always sends a message to welcome us and to see how we’re getting on, nice touch. Highly recommend this apartment, clean and has everything you need.

The only reason I have given 2 stars to this property are due to location. First of all the room was very small with no space to move around and much expensive as compared to other properties nearby with better apartments. The property is listed for stay of three people. We were three people and had one infant as well. After booking the owner didn't allow three people since according to him infant was also counted as an adult. Further, we had booked at a short notice, hence if cancelled, we had to pay one third cancellation charges so we dropped one person. Further, when we checked in, there guy didn't tell us that a utensil was broken and he told us these are all the utensils and we also didn't realise that one pot is broken. Later at the time of checkout he said this pot is broken and owner charged us 15 GBP for a broken handle of pot. Not recommended, can get better properties with better prices and hopefully more professional people.

Thank you Atul for taking the time to review my apartment. I must say that your review contains many inaccuracies, perhaps this is because you wrote it over 5 months after your stay and you can’t recollect things as they were? Location - You state in your review that you gave 2 stars purely for its location, but you do not quantify why. It’s curious that you then go on to mention about over occupancy and the damage to my kitchen equipment that you were charged for. I'd invite you to read my other reviews to see that other guests call out what a great location the apartment is, with sea and marina views, just a short walk from the beach, numerous restaurants & entertainment options and opposite a tram stop. Over occupancy - My listing clearly states that the maximum occupancy is 3 people. This is the maximum permitted occupancy of the apartment as set by the Dubai Government. In the listing I state that the apartment is more suited to 2 adults and a child, rather than 3 adults. I also state the actual size of the apartment on the listing and include a comprehensive set of photographs. I'd certainly welcome your thoughts and feedback on how I can be clearer in describing my apartment. It’s curious that you mention how small the apartment was, but also raise that you couldn’t bring another adult! You booked the apartment in early November. This was well over a month in advance of your stay and not “at short notice” that you mention in your review. When making the booking you stated that 3 people would be staying in the apartment, although when I sent an email to you on the 12th November you replied mentioning that there would be 4 people. I immediately informed you and Trip Advisor that I would not be able to honour the booking due to the number of occupants. I would like to point out that you would have received a 100% refund at this time if the booking was cancelled (you would not have had to pay 1/3 cancellation charges as you state in your review). I actually suggested to you in my email that you should perhaps look at one or two bedroom apartments. On the 13th November you sent me the below message via Trip Advisor: “Dear Chris, One of the guests has decided not to go ahead with the trip hence I would like to go ahead with your apartment only. I hope it works now. Regards, Atul On that basis the booking proceeded. Damage - May I start by saying that in the 7 years I have been renting my apartment that I have never had reason to withhold a deposit from any guests.My team in Dubai have been working for me for many years and I have never had any reason to question their integrity. Upon check-in, guests are shown everything in the apartment and given a copy of the inventory. You were asked to inform the team if you discover any anomalies within 48hours. You did not notify my team of any issues. When a guest checks-out of the apartment it is thoroughly cleaned and an inventory of equipment undertaken. At the time of check-out, the team noticed that a saucepan lid had been badly burnt. This was beyond repair. My apartment manager (who conducts the check-ins and check-outs) plus my cleaning team are 100% positive that the lid was not damaged before you moved into the apartment. My team purchased a new pan and lid (you cannot just purchase a new lid) and I provided TripAdvisor with the receipt. I only claimed back the cost of the pan and not the transportation cost that my team incurred. As I previously informed you, I also had to arrange a special deep clean of the apartment after you moved out, due to the cooking smells that had permeated throughout the apartment. I did not charge you for this additional clean. My apartment is priced competitively in the market of similar sized and located apartments. Some guests elect to stay in apartments that are further away from the beach and with less amenities on their doorstep - I fully appreciate everyone has their own preferences and priorities. I wish you safe travels in the future.

Chris’s Apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped, just as it’s described, with stunning views of the beach and marina. The location is perfect, Short stroll to The Walk JBR with its restaurants/shops, and the beach. 2-3 minute walk to the Tram stop. The pool area was lovely, well maintained, with lots of sun beds. Communication with Chris, the owner, was excellent, always answered any questions immediately and gave us lots of helpful tips/information for our stay. Julius who is part of the concierge team, met us at the apartment and was so courteous and polite. We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment and will definitely return, can`t recommend highly enough!

Next to Intercontinental Dubai Marina is the easiest way to get taxi drivers to know where you are-superb location- 10 minute walk to the beach and marina area - loads of shops and eating places - those wanting alcohol will have to find licensed premises as not readily available-generally hotels - Hilton Dubai is good- shop in apartment block Zoom(B3 floor) is a tad expensive but OK but there are a couple of others within a 5 minute radius that are better and cheaper-people who look after apartment for owner are superb and Julius who met and greeted us could not be more helpful and welcoming and is always on call-although personally we didnt need anything-apartment has all amneities you would need and even TV that has a good english speaking film channel if you fancy a night in...

This is the first time we have ever been to Dubai, so wanted to make the first time as great as we could. This started with reviewing apartments, and on paper Chris’s fitted the bill perfectly. And after dealing with Chris and his concierge team it was proven to be a really good decision. From the minute we booked to getting in to the taxi to return to the airport on the return home journey, eveything was brilliant. The apartment was exactly as Chris describes, fantastic location for Trams, Trains and the Beach, and only a short walk to the Marina Mall. Evelyn and Julius as part of the concierge team answered all our questions, were courteous and polite in all dealings. If you are looking for a great apartment, great location for the beach and the night life, then dont hesitate to book this apartment.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Great location...easily walkable to Marina, JBR Walk..and The Beach. Apartment is ideal for a couple...pool has sun most of the day...also tram stop is very close...so easily accessible to metro/malls... Have stayed a few times...and always my first choice when planning a return.
