This condo is in a fantastic location. Great restaurants, walking distance to Ipanema beach, walking to Lagoa, bikes and scooters easy accessible. The view of Christ the Redeemer, off of the penthouse, balcony! Jacuzzi tub, outside! Organized our rides to and from the airport. Felt perfectly safe. Enjoyed our time, first time in Rio, and loved every moment of it! Thank you!

Super cosy and nice decorated apartment in top location from a very nice host. Had a great time and would love to come again ! It comes with a parking in the garage . The location is in the center of Ipanema with everything what u need. It made my time in Ipanema more than perfect. I leave a part of my heart here in Brazil. Book it!

I'm surprised no one else has said this in their reviews so I'm going to lead with it. This place is amazing but it is very noisy. We absolutely loved our stay and everything about the place is absolutely wonderful, but it is right next door to a very loud elementary school so from early morning to mid afternoon there is constant kid screaming, laughing, playing. If you're out and about doing the tourist thing from the early morning onward this won't be a problem. If you're taking in some of Rio's excellent night life and plan to sleep in, that could be a problem. If you're planning on sticking around the apartment during the day like we did while we were preparing some work, the noise can be absolutely mind numbing. This is no fault of the owner and in fact there are white noise generators in every room in the house. The balcony is wonderful, amazing views. The place has all the amenities you would need. The internet and wifi worked great. We really enjoyed our stay with the exception of the noise.

Had a fantastic stay! Alastair's very stylish place truly captures the colour and vibrancy of Rio! On a quiet tree lined street but steps away to the beach and all the action. The rooftop deck is perfect for a Jacuzzi and chill after a day at Ipanema beach. Ellie (the host that met me) was super helpful in finding a reasonably priced gym close by (Beach Club Gym) And the doormen at the building were all so kind and helpful as well! Highly recommend this gem!

I stayed here with 2 friends during Carnival. The split level structure allows for both communal dinners/drinks etc but then privacy when required. The host was very responsive and friendly and an invaluable source of information about the neighborhood and Rio in general. I would recommend this without reservation as a pace to stay if you want to have a great Rio experience.

We had such a fantastic stay at Alastair's gorgeous apartment. He was very responsive in the lead-up to our 10-day stay over Carnival, quickly and comprehensively answering all of my questions. The apartment is perfectly situated in the best part of Ipanema on a nice quiet street which felt extremely safe. We loved the colourful decor, penthouse jacuzzi and views and very comfortable beds. We identified that one of the wifi routers did not appear to be working and it was replaced almost immediately. I highly recommend Alastair's place to anyone planning a trip to Rio!

I have spent a lot of time in Rio over the past 15 years and this trip was by far the best. Alastair was great throughout the entire process, from accommodating a few requests that simplified our stay, scheduling reasonable trustworthy car service and providing a complete guide of the home, neighborhood and attractions. The guide gave my family great ideas for day trips and we did things we typically would not have done. The location of the home and views could not be better and the home was large for the area with incredible views. Most of all, the decor was unique, beautiful and we felt like we were home after a day of excursions or the beach. We will definitely stay again. Ryan B (Nashville, TN)

Second time there! The penthouse is decorated with the bossa nova style! Very cool, funky (if new, epurated modern style apartments are not what you are looking for). Situated in one the best street in Ipanema, Close to the beach (post 9) and safe. There is always a guard there! The manager Ellie speaks English (great!).The owner is a trustable person and easy to deal with! I had a great time there!
