Location location location ! Did I say location? Surrounded by the ocean, grocery stores, restaurants, and commerce at the same time having residential charm. Posto 7 was our favorite beach area and close enough to enjoy all that Copacabana and Ipanema have to offer. The apartment is centrally located to all of Rio’s 1st time visitor attractions. I highly recommend heading to the gondola and hiring a tour guide there. We had the same guy for two days.
Beware: the check in process leaves a bit to be desired. There is no personal security at the door to the gate and no access code given to access the property. You have to actually meet someone when you arrive. Which can vary depending on traffic conditions and other variables. The agent that we had contact with all day mysteriously stopped responding when we arrived even
after confirming our time of arrival an hour before. We tried calling over and over for almost an hour causing us to book the hotel next door because we had no access. I was finally able to reach the owner and she connected us to someone to let us in and resolved the issue. Luckily the hotel next door refunded our payment.
Besides that, everything was lovely. The apt was clean. The shower head needs repair to be able to get water from the wall mount. The apt is very clean, spacious, has a nice kitchen, living area, functioning hot water and air conditioning.
