Chalet
Nestled at the foothills of the Long Mynd this Quinney View is a cosy ex railway cottage makes a great base for relaxing or exploring this lovely area by foot, cycle or car with the towns of Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Ludlow within easy reach. Close enough to roads and towns for easy access but feels remote enough for a real sense of a countryside break.
Church Stretton offers a range of food shopping with a Coop and independent delicatessens and butchers. Along with cafes and bistros to suit every palette.
The cottage is centrally heated and equipped to a high standard. Downstairs comprises a lounge, dining kitchen, small study area and a sunny conservatory at the rear of the house. Outside furniture for when the sun shines !

Great accommodation in a beautiful area amongst friendly, helpful people.
This is a beautifully thought out, modernised railway cottage, extremely well equipped within a stones throw of the local pub, very near to the railway crossing which was in no way detrimental to our stay. There are local walks from the door of the cottage and it is a short ride into Church Stretton,you could even walk in on the back road if you wanted to. Church Stretton has an abundance of shops for food shopping,so there is no need to travel a long way. There are plenty of eateries in the area from pubs and restaurants to cafes and take aways.
There is plenty of walking in the area and pretty towns and villages to explore. If you just want to relax the conservatory at the rear of the cottage is nicely equipped to do just that. There was no down side to our stay, we loved the cottage and the area.

Lovely cottage, very good location
Cottage lovely, nice pub over the road that does lovely meals. Cottage has a nice courtyard and convseratory and has all the items you need during your stay. Would stay again.

Something like home from home.
Communication was via text/email/phone prior to booking and during booking, was excellent.
We spent 10 days at Quinney View it was lovely, the Cottage was well described on the site, had everything you would need for a short or longer stay, it was more like sharing somebody's home, it was quite place to stay, we didn't visit the pub down the road so cannot comment but its just a two/three minutes walk away, we would recommend the cottage to all our friends, and to all who read this.

Brilliant !
This was our second time staying at Quinney View, and once again thoroughly enjoyable, even more so with the fantastic new shower room that has been put in. A thorougly comfortable cosy cottage with everything you could possibly need or want for a holiday. The position of the cottage is perfect away from the hustle and bustle but near enough to visit wonderful places like Ludlow, Bishops Castle, Offas Dyke etc, some fantastic countryside for the walking enthusiasts amonst us, all in all a wonderful little place to get away from it all many thanks, will be booking our usual next May !

Spotlessly clean and very comfortable for a modestly-priced holiday with friends
We were surprised and delighted with the level of equipment in such a modest-looking cottage. Would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on a break in this most delightful county.

Beautiful Country Cottage
We spent Christmas at this wonderful little cottage in Shropshire. We stay in a number of cottages per year and have never stayed at a cottage that is so well decked out. The house was completely liveable from outset. We cooked a full 3 course Christmas lunch with ease in the cottage. Rooms are spacious and well decorated.
The house is well located only 5 mins from the major hub of Church Stretton, but isolated enough to feel like you are well in the countryside. Pub across the road is a great place for a quick pint after a day walking or exploring.
Highly recommended - this place wont disappoint.

Very accomodating and friendly owner
This cottage was lovely. Clean and very well equipped. In a wonderful village with nice little shops. The owner, was so accomodating and nice when we needed to extend our stay at the very last minute. A real genuine person, I would recommend this cottage and this owner without hesitation. Thank you Pam.

Excellent home from home!!
I stayed here with my partner, sister & brother-in-law for a long weekend in August. The house is clean, well maintained and provided with everything you need to ensure your stay is comfortable and you want for nothing. The beds are very comfortable and the shower room very modern and finished to an exceptionally high standard. The kitchen was well equipped and lounge area very comfortable with the added advantage of satelite TV (my brother-in-law is an avid sports fan)
Correspondence was via email but all enquires dealt with promptly and efficiently.
We went to Shrewsbury, Ludlow (lovely little town with a castle) and Stokesay Castle near the town of Craven Arms (as recommended by neighbour who cleans the property). Stokesay Castle is a fortfied Manor House and we all particularly enjoyed this visit and highly recommend it along with Ludlow.
The pub across the road from the house does a lovely steak, although disappointed with the choice and quantity of vegetables provided.
We had an indian take away one evening from Spice Corner in Church Stretton which provided us with plenty of food and of a good quality.
In all we really enjoyed our visit to Shropshire (even managed to fit in a country walk) and the whole experience was made pleasureable by returning each evening to a place that felt 'like home'.

Very comfortable & welcoming
Great location and very comfortable for 4- possibly not so good for a very young family- steep stairs and a small second bedroom. Car parking at the height of summer might be a problem. Good conservatory & adequate outside space.

Thankyou for your comments . We do have dedicated parking at the rear of the house for one car and for one at the front . We have never had an issue in the past regarding parking
