This was one of the highlights of my trip.
As soon as I arrived at the property, and met Shaheen, (Attalh's brother that will be in charge of me) I knew I was on the right spot, and hands.
The little house is as comfortable, as charming, I couldn't get enough of it, sitting outside at night, chatting, and learning, with Shaheen, or Attalah, gazing, and picking from the bountiful grape vine, that covers the entrance.
This family has done a great job keeping this place.
They all look after you, and each other, in a super relaxed, casual, and caring way. If you want company, you'll get it, if you want independence, you'll have it as well. A random one night stay, suddenly became three... Needless to say that they know the whole area, like the palm of their hands, you'll be advised to discover much more, than the Treasury, or the Monastery, provided the time, they'll tell you how to roam the whole place, and visit nearby little known sites.
You can walk to some sites from the property, but in some instances, they'll take you there by car, to save you time, and/or effort.
They are a very well known family there, and everywhere I went it felt super safe, and easy.
I'm writing this because I feel grateful to them for all the extra miles they went to make me feel welcome, and to acknowledge their good work and hospitality.
