This was our second stay at the Rum Island Cabin and we loved it. The cabin itself is small but very well equipped in anything that you may need. It sits on a few acres of land in the woods, so it is very private. The screened in porch was wonderful to just sit on, listen to the hum of the forest, birds singing and grasshoppers chirping. Owners have thought of every detail to make sure that their guests will be as comfortable as possible. They even welcomed us with a two servings of fresh fruit and couple pieces of chocolate sitting on the kitchen counter. The fire pit was all set up with sticks ready to be lit and start the campfire. The overall location is also perfect. The Ichetucknee Springs and Gilchrist Blue Springs State Parks are both just a short drive away. There are many other attractions around, but our stay was too short to explore them all. Thank you MaryAnn and Dave for letting us to be your gusts. Hopfully we will come back again one day.
