Where to begin...? Will start at check-in. So easy. In fact, just texted Margaret, (who is immediate in her responses), told her approximate time we were arriving, and that was that. Door open, perfect home, ready to welcome us. THE VIEWS! THE VIEWS! Unbelievable. Yes, the property is everything you see in the pics, and more. Breathtaking. Margaret and Phil are the perfect hosts. Immediately responsive, there if you need them. They live part-time in the attached duplex, but you may never see them. We thoroughly enjoyed their company, especially our teen son who took to lovingly referring to Phil as "Grandpa Phil." He was so patient and engaging with our son. Taught him everything he needed to know about both deep-sea and kayak fishing in the Keys. The property is very private, so unique and very special. The house is super comfortable. Keep in mind, it's rented constantly. So, yes, there is some wear and tear, but nothing alarming or unsanitary. In fact, it was super clean. We cooked nearly every meal. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. And there's a gas AND charcoal grill. If there's something you need, Margaret will get it. I forgot to pack a beach umbrella (we drove) so went and purchased one for me! The only negative is it's off a main road and road noise is apparent. We always travel with box fans, so wasn't much of an issue for us. But, if you're a light sleeper, be aware. In all, a stellar find! We travel with VRBO at least 3X a year. This home is a definite "repeat"! The value for the price, the warmth of the hosts, the Atlantic, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, shaded lounge area, privacy, proximity to restaurants, oh and across the street for quiet neighborhood and bike trail for running, just what the good doctor ordered! Thank you and see you next year, Margaret and Grandpa Phil! PS Hit Curry Hammock State Park and its Nature Trail. Down the street. Idyllic. And, there's a secret find: A beach, waterfront dining, incredible restaurant in an RV park. Not kidding. Ask Margaret about it. We stumbled upon it and was one the the (culinary) highlights of the trip!
