We came for the river experience, but got much more! We felt so fortunate to have kayaks & the canoe available to us, with easy access to the river, while we watched others get frustrated over rental availability. We also loved being able to enjoy the river at our own pace, and not have to rely on a rental company. One neighbor was quite loud and did wake us up a few of the nights. (But the elderly couple on the other side of the trailer was so sweet and more than made up for it.) Overall, the house/trailer was exactly what we needed: a pleasant, clean place to stay on the river. Pine Island (Alfred A McKethan Pine Island Park) was amazing and we went there every night for the sunset. We also loved all the local dining options. (ZipZags, UpperDeck, Bayport Inn, DrunkenMullet) We drove to Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks for an amazing Greek dinner experience. We made it over to the WeekiWachee Park for a day and that was cute too, the mermaid show was unique. Nothing fancy but this isn’t Orlando, this is Weeki Wachee. It was a lovely, stress free vacation!
