Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.
We loved our time there and were sad to leave.
The home was very comfortable, super well equipped, and heavenly located.
My son's Scottish girlfriend, who could not join us as she could not travel to the US from Scotland, helped me pick it out.
Many in the family thought I was crazy for choosing a place at your price point.
But Ellie has great taste.
By the end of our stay everyone thought the price was too low for such perfect spot and such a great home.
5 of us stayed in the main house.
My parents stayed in the guest house - they also felt very comfortable there.
The arrangement worked very well.
Thank you so much.
We were there for 7 days, but 5 whole fully vacation days.
3 were in the park, hiking and fishing.
I have an almost religious feeling about the Lamar Valley, and I was very glad when my wife had a similar response when she saw it.
Fishing the confluence of the Soda Butte and the Pebble river is a likewise spiritual experience in our family.
All who saw it for the first time felt similarly.
The other two days were spent on the DePuy spring creek for the three of us who have a lot of flyfishing experience, the others fished at the house and went to Livingston.
Several fish were caught, right in front of the house.
For one day, we rented rafts with fishing frames from Rubber Ducky, primarily for the comfort of my seventy something year old parents, and floated and fished the Yellowstone, from Emigrant to Lock Leven. It was an awesome day, and dropping off most of the gang was perfect, even before four of us took the rafts down-stream to Lock Leven in a thunderstorm.
Dropping off most the gang at Anglershaven was very convenient.
We ate out for dinner only once, at the Old Saloon.
The salads were good, the Bison tenderloin was fantastic, and not to be missed if one eats meat.
We cooked steaks on the grill one night, and ate on the deck - fantastic night - a wonderful celebration of family.
We cooked Mexican another night, and brought take-out from Marks in Livingston and Follow-Yer-Nose bbq in Emigrant the other nights.
We all had breakfast daily at Anglershaven in the AM and made sandwiches for the day.
We had rented a Suburban so we could all ride together as needed.
My wife and I watched the sun come up over the Absorokas every morning - usually with tears in our eyes.
This trip was designed to be a celebration of our kids growing up and striking out on their own, and is probably the l
