The home has awesome views from the living room area and the master bedroom. The place is very clean, tidy and well supplied. The property manager was quick to respond to A few minor issues. Their communication with us was great. A couple of things to note, the home actually sits on highway 28 and not on the street address given. It is a bit confusing to find initially. With the house sitting on hwy 28, it can get very noisy especially during the day. As with any house built on a mountain Entry into the house requires climbing up about 15 steep steps. In addition there are steps inside the house from the living room to the bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

The only positive thing about this property is its convenient location. The view is great too, but the patio has a lot of road noise. The master bedroom has no blinds at all so it gets very bright early in the morning in summer. The bathroom and stairway carpets had a lot of carpet bugs on them. We were willing to tolerate all this, but then we saw some rats running around the master bedroom and bathroom one morning. At that point we decided to leave and find another place to stay. At least, Vacasa refunded the fees for the days we did not stay there without too much trouble. I wouldn't recommend this place until the bug and rat infestation is taken care of.

Loved it ! Our trip was spoiled some by the smoke in the air due to the wildfires but overall great location, great place, very thoughtfully stocked with basic necessities and the views are a joy esp. on a full moon night. :-) We will be back !

The house was picked because of the view of Lake Tahoe and it didn't disappoint. We felt like millionaires with that view. We also liked the layout of the house. Huge open area for kitchen, living and dining room. Next floor has one bedroom and a bath and the next floor, the master, has a huge bathroom and deck. There is also a "basement" game room with a ping pong table and the washer & dryer. I put the word basement in quotes because it's on the same level as the great room but with a separate entrance. The kids could make as much noise as they wanted and we never heard them. That's worth the house for some families alone. We were the first guests that the owner had as he had recently bought the house. We had a couple of things to adjust and the owner was right on it, having someone at the house in an hour. All my communications with the owner are what made the house well worth it. He really cares. We are told that after the summer season, he is putting the house in a full scale upgrade which will make it even better. The house is on Lakeshore Boulevard which is the main road around the lake. We thought that it might be too intrusive with the traffic but it really wasn't . Also, It happens to be at a wide part of the road with it's own parking area so getting in and out was easy, even when the traffic was heavy. We also have to mention that the quality of the furniture and appliances are first rate. This house should be very popular and hard to get once the word gets out.
