Great stay on the lake !

My family of 5 loved this place. From the moment we turned down the heavily wooden drive and arrived at the house we were in heaven. The house was large, very comfortable and well appointed. We didn’t want for anything - plus we saw deer, turkeys and loons from the property. The highlight of course was the lake. It’s tucked in a quiet cove but just minutes from Wolfeboro or Melvin Village. My boys and I spent may quiet hours fishing off the dock. We caught a ton of bass, perch and sunfish - enough to satisfy this retired angler. The dock is large and we rented a boat from the marina to further explore. This was exactly what we were hoping for in terms of a Summer vacation. The owners were fantastic and the location is blissful. Hard to beat this and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Lakes Region.

What a great week it was at this rental property. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The rental came with more than I have come to expect after renting on or around the lake 4 of the last 5 years. There is ample room and the house is beautifully built and well maintained. The walk down to the water is not bad but does require that you do so carefully. The bunk house is amazing and adds a nice touch to the property. If nothing else it makes for a nice swim shack to hold your belongings and can act as a temporary outpost when a thunderstorm blows over the lake. The dock area is quite rocky which makes it tricky for a family. We made due with our 6 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I was told by one of the owners that they are adding a ladder to the end of the dock, which would have made getting in and out of the water a lot easier. The kayaks were awesome and our experience on the water was great throughout the week. The one knock I would say is driving to and from the house. The road as you get closer to the house gets really narrow with a lot of blind turns and blind hills. I grew up in this part of New Hampshire and am used to this, but my wife was not and some of the other family members that visited did not feel comfortable driving the road either. Its not like there are cars around every twist and turn but when there is, it can be somewhat startling as there is not a lot of room for 2 cars to pass in some spots it would be next to impossible. It did cause some of our faimily to leave before dark a couple of the nights. Lastly, the last night we were there bears (at least we suspect) got into the trash on the property. Nothing really happened but you are in a wooded somewhat remote location. Overall, I would still rate my family's experience as 5 stars. Betsy and Richard were great and the house when you get there is awesome.

Property was large and as pictured. The use of the dock was great and allowed us to really enjoy Winnipesaukee. Richard and his wife were extremely helpful and welcoming. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend.

An almost new cabin with plenty of space. We were there for the 1st week in July 2018 and it was very hot the whole week. Plenty of fans, but a couple of bedroom window AC's would have made a huge difference. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and very nice, there are 5 bedrooms and we only used 2. I think the pics that we saw online were very accurate, so give them a good look. Walk 150' to a dock and we let the kids do canon balls off it, but I wouldn't let them dive off it. We rented a 22' pontoon boat with a 90hp motor and the dock and bay was fine. Around the dock is rocky so walking into the water is a little tricky.The house is on dead end road on a pennisula so you can bike alittle with the kiddies without too many cars. The hills are medium but not horrible. We didn't hear the neighbors at all so its kind of a secluded spot. You will see them at the dock area in the bay. The yard is full of weeds and no grass, but I didn't go there to roll around in the grass. Plenty of space, 2 bathrooms, everything works, dock on lake winnie, canoe, kayak and doggie friendly. That's a pretty nice combination.
