We couldn’t check in because the property manager gave us an inaccurate key code and was unresponsive to calls during our attempts to check in. On the positive side she promptly provided a full refund but this was small compensation for needing to drive around Madison county to find a motel (finally found a room available around 2am). Very regrettable and forgettable experience!

We stayed for a long weekend to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and other area attractions - it was a great time! The house was clean, organized, and well decorated, and the owners did an amazing job making us feel right at home! The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with everything (and more!) that you would find in a typical home. The beds were very comfortable. The basement ping-pong table and the backyard fire pit were both nice added bonuses. The TVs even had a Roku with streaming services already set up - Netflix, Hulu, YoutubeTV, and more! We definitely plan on returning for another weekend stay very soon.

Tucked away but close to town and Colgate. Spacious space for my family of 6. Wendy was very responsive and helpful. Will stay again!

Wonderful stay! We stayed for 2020 graduation celebration. Booking, communication was easy and seamless. Wendy has thought of everything. We cooked a lot because everything in town was busy so took advantage of a well stocked pantry. The place was very clean and had everything we could have needed. Would not hesitate to recommend. Thank u for a pleasant and memorable stay.

Raider Retreat is a wonderful home in a gorgeous wooded setting conveniently located near town! We had a great weekend and loved all the thoughtful touches - extra snacks, extra toiletries, comfortable beds…and warm/welcoming hosts!

The property was/is fantastic, I cannot imagine an age range it wouldn't work perfectly for! This group was not there for any sightseeing, and had no time to do so. Two brothers, and spouses, visited sister and spouse ... ages ranged from 75 to 81. And these 'old folks' worked and worked and worked for two days to help that sister and brother-in-law clear away downed trees, other dead trees, brush, rakes, lawn tractor, wagons, and two chain saws ... and when we left to return to Vt and NH this morning ... we were all exhausted. But for three evenings we ate at YOUR house and played card games and scrabble and read and Laughed and Laughed and Laughed. Thank YOU so much, we felt as if we were entertaining in our own homes. P E R F E C T 🤗

We stayed in this property when visiting Colgate's admitted students day. We were not familiar with the area, and this was a perfect spot. The hosts include a lot of special touches, including snacks, razors and coffee as well as a comprehensive listing of things to do (and recommendations) in the area including where to get good food. The house is stocked with games, books, and all the comforts of home away from home. Everything was more than as represented in the listing online. One note - Google Maps will direct you to a different house - you may need to use the live view (we found it easily from there, but did get confused by Google Maps on first pass). Would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed here before and everything is just wonderful. The house is beautiful and so comfortable. They have everything you could possibly need and Wendy is a gracious host. We love staying here when we visit our son at Colgate. We look forward to next time!
