Great getaway for moms and dads

Really enjoyed our stay. Took some friends for their 1st Finger Lakes visit and the house made it ideal. The location is PERFECT!! Great lake views from the big deck and within 5 min of numerous wineries and breweries. Wonderful, thank you Paul

First, We enjoyed our trip tremendously. The bedrooms and baths were as expected and fine! Well-stocked. Beautiful view from the deck! Visit Leidenfrost Winery Right down the street. It was lovely! Two things to know. 1) the basement lower level had a musty smell and could benefit from dehumidifier or something. 2) The driveway IS VERY STEEP. The men in our group said around 30 degrees. (Please correct us if wrong- and perhaps this is “normal” for the area but it was a challenge for us) We had a nine passenger van and were almost unable to maneuver it at the bottom near the house. The drive was wet and slippery from rain and the large van slipped going back up the hill so we felt we should park it at the top of the hill in the extra parking area to avoid the steepest slope. That made a problem for our handicap son and wheelchair. We managed with 5 adult strong men to lift our 190 lb 30 YO son but please caution people about this challenge for access. Despite all of this, as long as we have our men with us we would definitely stay here again because it was a lovely place! We just don’t know if some people who are not prepared to handle the challenge would be able to manage it Thank you!

I would highly recommend this house

We love this area of the country. We visited several waterfalls & over 15 wineries during our stay. The house worked very well for the 7 of us. We made all of our breakfast's & 2 dinners at the house during our stay & we had everything we needed in the kitchen to do the job. Nice table to play games at, at night after the wineries closed. Very convenient location to all the places we wanted to visit. The parking was a little tight & the driveway is a little steep. The water pressure was not like we were used to, but we managed with taking turns with the showers & other uses of water. Overall, was a very nice place to stay for another weekend in the Finger Lakes area.

This was a beautiful place to stay and enjoy Seneca lake and all it has to offer. The owner was very responsive to our inquiries.

This cottage is beautiful! The owner is by far the nicest person my family and I have ever rented from, the owner responds very quickly to emails and phone messages! We look forward to hopefully renting from him again! Leaving us a bottle of wine was such a nice touch! Thank you again For this lovely experience!

Our stay was perfect. The house was clean and very spacious. It is well equipped for a large group and the location can't be beat. It's just a short walk down to the deck that is on the water. The very large deck attached to the house was a perfect place to watch the sunset through the trees or drink our morning coffee. Close to many wineries and breweries. We liked Two Goats Brewery, just up the road.

My friends and I celebrated my 65th birthday in Hector. The home was spacious and very clean. We loved spending nights on the deck and enjoyed the fire pit. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Great location, plenty of great restaurants and close to Watkins Glen. Thanks Paul for allowing us to stay in your home and thanks too for the bottle of wine. That was really sweet 😊?.
