Difficile de résumer Rodrigues en quelques mots.Le charme de cette petite île, la chaleur de ses habitants, des belles rencontres comme celle de ce trio de choc qui sont Valérie André et Lyneda. Situé au centre de l’île, Le Havre Gourmand et une étape incontournable..La situation géographique propice aux excursions: Rodrigues se visite à pied et le réseaux des bus bien achalandé vous permet de rentrer facilement.Valérie est une virtuose de la cuisine. Elle cuisine comme personne pains et gâteaux ainsi que confiture et achards. Lyneda qui l’aide en cuisine vous concoctera des bons plats rodriguais, bien venus après une longue journée de marche. Quant à André intarissable dans ses conseils vous invitera à découvrir les petit coins de l’île. Nous avons arpenté l’île dans tout les sens pendant une semaine, c’est un joyau que les rodriguais doivent protéger, bonifier. Les valeurs humains de ces habitants ont malheureusement désertées nos contrées.Ça fait du bien de s’y replonger et surtout un grand merci à ce trio pour la chaleur et le bien être qu’ils offrent.

This well-equipped quiet, stylish studio is located in a beautiful garden with vegetable patches, chickens and a rabbit. It is located above an artisan bakery. Valérie - the owner - makes exceptional croissants, brioche, jams made from fruit from the garden, etc. Don't stay here if you're on a diet. The studio is in the centre of the island so having your transport is advisable as buses stop running at 18:00. André, the owner, can arrange car and scooter rentals at very reasonable rates. But the best thing about this place is the owners. They are incredibly welcoming and generous and made our stay. Highly recommended!!

We spent a couple of weeks on Rodrigues Island and stayed at three different places and we can safely say, without hesitation, that here - Le Harve Gourmand - was by far the best! The studio was really nice, very comfortable with everything you could need. The furniture was very comfy and the kitchen utilities were great and very modern. It was exceptionally clean as well. You also have a stunning view of the sea from the terrace with very nice (and comfortable!) chairs to relax on. The hosts, Valerie and Andre, were also wonderful. Very kind, caring and genuinely great people who (even when busy - we were there around the Christmas period) were always available to help and advise. It's very central on the island, you can get anywhere within 15-20 mins, and it's just a 5 mins hop into Port Mathurin. We had transport (provided for by the owners at a very reasonable rate) but there is a bus stop right in front of the property. One more thing to mention.... Valerie also runs a bakery business on the island and she is a genius! Home baked bread, croissants and brioche are regularly available and are exceptional... and divine homemade preserves!! A great way to start the day... We were very happy there and if back in Rodrigues, would 100% stay there again. I really cannot recommend it highly enough!!
