We stayed 3 nights on our Finger Lakes area vacation. Mallard Cottage is located in the country about 20 minutes southwest of Ithaca near Robert H Treman State Park & an easy drive to the Watkin Glens area on Seneca Lake or super close to Cayuga Lake. The cottage is a perfect get away for 2 & offers a beautiful view of the countryside. It has a full kitchen & comfortable accommodations.

Lovely little place.

Just the right size for a couple and their dogs. Plenty of walking areas on property. The owners and their dogs were very friendly and offered great suggestions. Within driving distance (< 30 minutes) of Watkins Glen and Ithaca. We had a great time!

Stunning views in every direction, especially the colorful gardens. Good base for exploring wineries, state parks, Ithaca, Finger Lakes in general. Mallard Cottage is very cozy, comfortable, and clean. Tom & Inez work hard to maintain their property and the environment, too.

Mallard Cottage is delightful. The setting is breathtaking with Inez's wildflower gardens and the butterfly sanctuary. We were there during firefly season and had the lifetime privilege of seeing the field full of fireflies at night. It was breathtaking. The cottage is very comfortable (great shower) and great for our dogs who interacted so easily with Inez's and Tom's beautiful and gentle dogs. So close to Ithaca, wine country, and waterfalls at the gorgeous State Parks. What a getaway. Can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved Mallard Cottage! A darling bungalow in a beautiful setting! Inez and Tom were wonderful hosts and met our every need. Floyd and Sally were the sweetest greeters; they filled our need for our four-legged kids we left behind. An amazingly beautiful and relaxing trip!

Stayed at the cottage with a friend and my lab mix. Great location and hiking access. Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful setting. Cottage modern and adorable and pups Sally and Floyd made us all feel very welcome.

The Mallard cottage was perfect for a little getaway upstate. We were able to disconnect and recharge while walking the lovely yard, and we enjoyed the quaint simplicity of the countryside. Yet, the stocked kitchen, air conditioning, and beautiful garden made our stay feel easy and luxurious. We loved having the ability to come in from a hike and prepare a meal. The furniture on the gated deck allowed us to eat outside and not miss a minute of the gorgeous weather and landscape. Inez and Tom were so helpful, and our dogs had a blast playing with their friendly Goldens, Sally and Floyd. We felt at home and are already looking forward to coming back!
