We spent a four day fall weekend at this cottage. The house was very clean, and conveniently located to the beaches, playgrounds, and convenient store. We cooked all of our meals. The kitchen was well stocked with all necessities and utensils. The owners take extra measures to provide detailed instructions before checkin. In addition, there are labels and instructions in all rooms of the house (ie: tv/dvd, trash, parking and thermostat.) We enjoyed time at the beach (bay & lake) each day. Our kids loved being able to walk/ride to two different playgrounds and grab items we forgot at the gas station convenience store located at the end of the driveway. We enjoyed chatting with the neighbor, Larry, and other visitors we met on our walks. We grilled one night without any issue on the gas grill. We enjoyed a late afternoon, evening outdoor fire where we cooked dinner and s’mores. Our kids (2 & 4) loved sharing a room, which had their own tv for early morning cartoon viewing. Tons of outdoor adventures nearby. We enjoyed two local wineries, Burnhaps Farm (a most with little ones) and Chimney Bluffs Park. We had rain one day and explored the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester (well worth the 45 min drive). Owners, Ted and Jackie Welter, have thought of everything and make renting this property a breeze! Highly recommend for a family with small kiddos! We will definitely be back!
