We had a wonderful stay while we were in town for a wedding. The cabin location was phenomenal, beautiful view with the bay just beyond the balcony. The cabin itself was a little quaint and quirky, a bit like visiting grandma’s house. The basement was a little damp and dark, but one of my sons happily claimed it as his own space. The open floor plan worked great and we especially loved the balcony. We had to borrow my sister’s kayaks as their’s were still in storage. There is a lot that can be explored by Kayak! We used the bikes to ride into town and took many walks. We also rented a pontoon boat for half a day from nearby Krenzer’s Marina. The bay was rough that day, but it was still an adventure. We watched sailboat races and explored all of the bay. The marina was also great to work with, we were able to call at 4 pm and have a boat for the next morning. We played wiffleball at the little town field, just a short walk away. Also a in walkable distance are ice cream shops, Hot dog stands, little restaurants and bait shops, marinas, a park and lighthouse, and a sand beach. This is a great location for a family vacation and we only wished that we had booked it for longer. Chimney Bluffs is another park and hiking area within a short driving distance, but we ran out of time. The family had a great time. We only wish we could have spent more time there, sipping coffee, playing games, and just gazing at the bay in front of us.
