We loved the property. It was spotless and had everything we needed. We brought our dog and it was great having a gated patio and fenced in yard. In the middle of town so you never need to worry about parking.

This was the perfect place to stay in Blowing Rock! It is an easy stroll to Main Street and all the wonderful restaurants. The place is wonderfully appointed and has everything you need. There was a bit of morning footstep noise from the upstairs tenants, but otherwise, our stay was flawless. We highly recommend it :-).

Two Steps Down is a perfect property for a mountain getaway for 2 people. There’s adequate space for 2 adults. The space is nicely upfitted and very clean. The hot tub is an added bonus and is very private in location. Since the unit is below another unit, some noice is audible from upstairs occupants (you can hear footsteps) but we’ve not found it to be a huge issue and it has never impeded sleep.

This was a perfect spot to work and play. Everything we needed was provided by our host. Enjoyed the immediate surroundings and the opportunities to bike and hike minutes from our location. Loved the hot tub as well.

Super convenient, cute and cozy place!

Cozy cabin feel with with great decor and a peaceful fenced yard, fire pit and hot tub. All in (very short) walking distance to EVERYTHING while still being quiet and private. And it’s dog friendly!! We will plan to stay here every time we can!

Stayed with my husband for my birthday. This property is great. Just step out your door and you can walk to shops and restaurants which was so nice! We appreciated the dog friendly touches such as pet bowls, towels and fenced yard. The décor was spot on! I help design spaces where I live and would have given this a top star rating! Great job Karen!!! Loved the heated toilet seat, Yes you heard that right ladies!!!!! This unit was perfect for two people. Will consider renting the 3 BR unit above (also owned by same person) if we bring others along next trip.

I used to live in the area and long to again some day…Two Steps Down is always an incredible get away. The property is well appointed and meticulously maintained (inside and out). Karen is a great host and the location cannot be beat! I look forward to a return visit. Thank you!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Perfect place to stay for a long Valentine’s weekend getaway for me and my wife and our fur baby, Sky. Within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and 2 Steps Down was amazing! A fenced yard for the pup to explore a little was nice. Your own hot tub is a bonus and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine by the fire pit in the evenings. Karen was an amazing host and super responsive for any questions we had. Looking forward to our next trip to Blowing Rock and will definitely be staying at one of Karen’s places as they are all top notch!
