Staying at Cactus at Connestee was perfect for our group! We had put together couples getaway where we wanted a place we could have a common area to socialize and private spaces for each of the 3 couples along. The house was perfect for that as basically each of us had a floor with a private bath. The main floor layout was great & we spent a lot of time in the mornings and evenings just hanging out between the well equipped kitchen and the spacious living area.
Will was amazing with his response time to us with the few questions we had during check-in, and the guidebook you receive prior to check-in was detailed and clear. The house was well appointed and we noticed all the little touches like automatic soap dispensers, a really sweet gift basket & doggie treats, charging stations for devices, quick and easy Roku setup on the TVs to stream, and we noticed that the A/C was already set to a comfortable level when we arrived. THAT was a very thoughtful touch as sometimes we stay places that have the thermostat set to an "away" temperature and it takes all evening for it to be comfortable.
Speaking of comfortable, my goodness the beds were just right. Our room was the master suite and it was just perfect for us. LOVED the huge bathroom with two spray heads in the shower.
Last but definitely not least, the community itself is a gem. Among the many amenities you have access to the pool, a park on the lake with a swimming beach, and our favorite were the miles of trails where you can access multiple private waterfalls. These days when public forest trailheads are packed with people, it was the icing on the cake for us to experience a hike in our own private oasis.
