Spent two nights in this cozy cabin. Well-equipped, clean, friendly and attentive owner. It is at the top of a long steep windy road that was a little tricky to navigate when it had just snowed, but we had 4WD which made it manageable. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to others. The main street in West Jefferson was full of great shops/restaurants, but we learned that many are closed on Tuesdays —- just mentioning for future planning.

Visited for Thanksgiving weekend with our almost grown children. We all loved it!! Had everything we needed, very clean, and extremely comfortable! Just wish we had more time. Great hosts!

The views were spectacular! We did face a few issues while here for our trip that we wanted others to be aware of before booking this location and spending a lot of money like we did only to be disappointed. :( The drive to the property is very steep and we did not feel confident going anywhere after dark. The king bed in the master bedroom was not very comfortable, it’s a memory foam mattress and my spouse and I both sunk into holes very deep and had very bad shoulder pain and stiff spines the entire time we were here and even into the next week. Upon arrival we had to do a deep clean on our own as the refrigerator had not been cleaned and all shelves were dirty with crumbs and spilled food. The light fixtures have dust and cobwebs and we had to clean the switch plates for all the lights because they also had grime and dried stains on them so you could tell they had not been cleaned before our arrival. The gas grill on the porch does not work and should not be included in this listing as a feature. We brought meat to grill our meals every day to then find out that the button for the igniter is broken and there was a huge birds nest under the grill that we had to remove and still could not get it to light. There was also dried up food scraps and the grill was so dirty we did not even want to eat off of it. Also the main gas fireplace in the dining room is faulty and only works sporadically. We wasted a great deal of time getting frustrated trying to get it to ignite. We finally messaged the owners and found out that the previous guests had also reported difficulty getting the fireplace to light and it was never looked into before our arrival. We finally got it to light but then had issues with it only lighting every once in a while after 5-10 attempts. The chair cushions on the porch are all very worn and uncomfortable. This place is a gem but definitely needs some maintenance from the owners for sure. The views made up for everything else but it was still overall a fairly disappointing trip!

No need to ever leave! Peaceful, quiet, secluded. Great place to spend time with each other! Will stay here again and again!

We had another great visit to the mountains and the cabin was a big reason. Jeremy was quick to respond to inquiries and our trip was memorable. The cabin was spotless and the location is very scenic and secluded. At sunrise, taking the first long sip of hot coffee while looking out at the dense fog blanketing the mountains in the distance is worth the trip alone. We drove to a few nearby attractions around Boone on the Saturday we stayed and enjoyed the fire pit later that night with the kids. Thanks so much!

The house was amazing, clean and had everything we needed. Jeremy is a great host and communicated quickly. My family loved the deck, the views and the hot tub!!

Great place to see God’s creation! Just a wonderful, comfortable place to get away with family, friends, or just your spouse. Enjoyed the outside entertainment area with big couch and TV. We will definitely be back to View and Far Between!
