Tickle cottage is lovely we enjoyed a week in it's embrace, it is warm and cosy with everything to hand. The weather was fair and sunny allowing us to do beach walks to Newton by the sea and Bamburgh picking our lunch from local eateries. Coming back to the cottage to settle into a hot bath whilst deciding what to do in the evening.
We have holidayed in Beadnell over the years it is a little gem we recommend going and Tickle cottage would be a great choice.

Absolutely Wonderful
Stayed in this cottage for the week in the Easter Holidays and had a wonderful time. The cottage is really comfortable. The photos of the main bedroom do not do it justice at all it's just beautiful, and the roll top bath was an added bonus after long dog walks along the coast!! The kitchen is well equipped and the little courtyard is a lovely little suntrap most of the day! would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again!

Adequate cottage - awkward local resident
A comfortable cottage close to Beadnell beach, the cottage is well equipped and great TVs in both bedrooms and living room. The downstairs shower is electric and not powerful, the shower door runners and sealant looked like they needed attention with deep cleaning . The biggest problem is parking, you cannot park outside the cottage as it blocks access, and the confirmation holiday letter asks you not to park opposite no 19 where the residents live because it ‘blocks their view’. This house has a large driveway and a large frontage in comparison to others and their front garden was well hidden by high hedges/shrubs. The resident seems to thinks it is acceptable to place parking cones opposite his drive on a public rd so that you don’t park there. So we obliged and this still wasn’t good enough, we parked up to the parking cones and then we found notes were left on our car asking us to park even further up the rd. We duly obliged only to find that we needed to clean the car every day because it was covered in pigeon poo, so badly you couldn’t safely drive , it has cost me £30 getting my car cleaned. We really did not fancy getting into conflict resolution on our holidays and so left 2 days early. We will not be returning.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry you had issues with bird poo. It is a shame that my elderly neighbours ask not to park infront of their home but they are a lovely couple and will help anyone in need. They are in their nineties and I will always be kind to them. The obvious answer is to move the car to another position, if its a problem. It is the countryside and I am sorry it caused so much upset to leave early which saddens me. Kindest regards Tracy

Fabulous
What a fabulous cottage. Beautifully furnished, everything you need and in a great location. The short stroll to the sandy beach across the field was perfect. The village itself is very friendly, with lovely and very welcoming pubs. Beadnell is close to many of Northumberland’s highlights, although we spent a lot of time enjoying the things on our doorstep. The cottage owners were extremely helpful and responded to any questions I had before our trip promptly and even provided a great list of things to do. I’d recommend Tickle Cottage to anyone looking for a trip to Northumberland.

Lovely cottage with every home comfort, great location
Very tastefully furnished cosy cottage with lots of little extras. Great location in heart of village near good pubs and cafe (all dog friendly). Only a short stroll from the beach and well placed for visiting the beautiful Northumberland coastline. We will be back.

Lovely Snug Cottage & Great Base To Explore Northumberland
Really lovely cottage in the centre of Beadnell.
Ideally based to explore the area by car, but also to walk to Seahouses.
Cottage is well equipped and welcoming. The log burner is a real bonus.
The Salt Cafe restaurant is nearby and excellent.
The Craster arms is also nearby and OK-ish, but service is very, very slow and the pub is very cafe-like - but please make up your own mind.
Great place to stay and highly recommended.

Good location pet friendly clean and comfortble
Good location with a pleasant outlook, 5 minute walk to a lovely beach, the cottage was warm,comfortble, clean and well equipped. Beadnell is a quiet little village with a small shop, post office and dog friendly pub and all the local attractions are easily accessible. The only downside is the parking,ok if you are using one car but additional space is tight and one neighbour could be particularly difficult about parking anywhere within 15 meters of his property.

Fabulous location, brilliant cottage
This cottage is in the middle of Beadnell Village, handy for two pubs, a cafe/restaurant and the local shop - as well as being within walking distance of the beach! A perfect location for walks or days on the beach if you want to leave the car behind, but also a great location for exploring Northumberland.
Tickle Cottage is also brilliant - lots of attention to detail and everything you'd need for a week or two away, including everything you need in the kitchen, a very handy ulitity room, two great bedrooms which suited us perfectly and a lovely lounge/dining room. I'm sure we'll be back!
