The home was gorgeous and in a perfect location, and the amenities were everything we wanted and more! It was right in downtown close to everything you’d want to do in and near Dallas!
There were so many things to go on and on about this house! The owner has remodeled and put in some amazing touches! Granite countertops everywhere, a wet bar, a well stocked kitchen, modern fixtures and art, fancy shower fixtures, an elevator, a coffee bar in the master bedroom, and the rooftop deck!! The rooftop deck has gorgeous views of downtown Dallas! It has outdoor furniture, lighting, grills, a heater and everything you’d need to have the most beautiful evening! We had cold weather and only spent a few moments up there, but I look forward to coming back someday soon! There were two other decks on the house, too, each with seating and decor and another grill on the deck off of the kitchen.
The bedrooms were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and bedding, and the master bedroom even had a king sized adjustable bed.
The art was all so interesting! No cookie cutter boring art here—everything was original and thought provoking.
The showers both have upgraded showerheads with multiple features, and the master bedroom shower has a steamroom function and is an absolute spa in and of itself. Both full bathrooms are on the third floor with two of the bedrooms, but there are half baths on each of the other floors, too. We didn’t get to use the sauna, but it was there and available to use.
Things to consider: although it has an elevator accessible to all floors, there are about 8 steps to get inside the home, and you get in halfway between the first and second floors and have to go up or down about 8 steps to get to a floor with elevator access. Although it’s not exactly ADA compliant, it was still fine for my mother, who has some mobility issues and uses a cane/walker/wheelchair. We just would help her on the first steps getting into the home and onto an elevator floor, and she was fine on her own going everywhere in the home, via the elevator, except for the rooftop deck.
Don’t let the deposit scare you away from this great place! When we rented, the deposit was a lot higher than I’d ever paid on a VRBO rental. But, once we got into the house, I understood why: because there are much nicer things and gadgets there than in an ordinary vacation rental. The owner was fair in returning it all, though, so I’d pay it again to rent the place again!
