The house was fairly comfortable and clean (except for various issues in the kitchen), but it was a little scary how much it swayed and shook with the wind, and there was no beach equipment at all. Plus there were noisy neighbors who partied until 3:00 a.m. both weekends. We put up with those things, but there are a couple of other reasons why you should find a different owner to rent from. The first was a 24/7 loud and intrusive construction project on the beach outside "Quiet" Time that kept us awake at night and made being on the beach unpleasant; afterwards I saw that some vacation rentals in Sandbridge let renters know about the beach replenishment ahead of time, but we were never warned about this construction project that had been going on for months when we booked just two weeks before our stay, and the owner did not try to make up for it in any way. The second problem was leaky living room windows that allowed rain in the house and ruined my daughter's laptop. Despite a number of phone calls, emails, and photos, the owner refused to pay for the repair or even admit that the windows leak. There are plenty of nicer houses to rent in Sandbridge--just be sure to check the beach replenishment schedule before you sign the lease!
